Yay for the Stars and Stripes...

because that meant no work-just lots of food, fireworks and family!
Ours would not be the same with out the parade!! I've gone to it every year of my existence, so we had to keep the tradition alive.

And if the parade started to lose its appeal, Twinkle Toes knew how to work the crowd!

Every year we get a picture with the Star Wars gang. Why? Because for some reason when you're at a parade amidst all the craziness you are free to act as crazy as them! May the force be with you Collin!

Quincey striking a pose and Yaya (my mom) having flashbacks of holding me while looking at those chubby cheeks! Avery with Gigi-who I'm sure was teaching her all about the Declaration of Independence or what the symbols of the flag mean or why there's a giant monkey floating by.

Ashley and Chris weren't in the parade although you may have caught their killer performances in the Stadium of Fire with... ahem Miley Cyrus. My sister apparently left her pride at home showing up in pink and yellow-didn't mom teach you anything? hehe ;)

We hope you had a fabulous 4th of July!

  3. Where was this fabulous parade? I started one of my own this year in my own neighborhood...would love to get the amount of spectators yours had for next year! I guess I shouldn't be too hard on myself, afterall it was only the 1st annual!

  16. Thanks for asking this question and thanks everyone for their responses. I've been trying to find a company like this forever. Already checked it out and started. Only problem - has anyone had a problem with Blurb stating that you need to update your blog when they go to create the book? The software looks incredibly simple and I'm really excited - just need to figure out what they want with the whole "update" issue?

  18. I was also wondering about printing my blog... I was thinking it could be a fun new Christmas gift/tradition for the family... an annual copy of the blog book for our library that we can go over while everyone is home for the holidays! Also catching up on your blog... BEAUTIFUL pictures of the baby (you look FANTASTIC!) and lots of fun at the parade!

  32. Hey Lizzie. . The parade was so much fun, as usual, Did you or Camille get a pic of Matt with a Llama? I missed that photo op this year. Will you send me all your 4th pics via email so I can take a peek? I wish I'd have pulled out the camera at the BBQ too.....

  34. I was going to mention blurb.com again... totally easy (though you might have to re-size some of your pics if they're too small/pixelated for the layouts you chose).

    ReplyDelete
  35. And I got to meet you just before the parade! (I'm sort of embarrassed about being just a "blog-stalker").

I've also heard good things about blurb.com, but haven't actually tried them. I have heard you can copy your blog exactly onto a word press blog and have another backup.

I'm glad you enjoyed the parade! It looks like we missed out on the fun. (I chose to go back to my in-laws and nap...it was a long drive from Oregon).

    Take Care!
    Dianne
