a peek & a link

The October Creating Keepsakes has gotten me so excited for Halloween!! Remember Borat+Sally last year? You're never too old for Halloween, right? Are you dressing up? I'm debating between Lucille Ball or a Flapper Girl this year, searching for an Aerial costume for Avery & trying to find something warm, comfy & cute for Quincey.

In CK look for the amazing Halloween decor by Candice Stringham-move over Martha! It was also fun to see where Kelly Purkey scraps & in Dear Lizzy I talk about how to deal with page protectors when you have hidden journaling etc. Here's a peek.

  8. Being a teacher, I have to dress up for class every year. I am usually Olive Oil, Marge Simpson, or a mime, so I have an excuse to NOT talk to the kids for one full day... hee hee hee!

  21. Okay my daughter is going to be Ariel for Halloween as well and we found one that is much cheaper than the one at Disneyland (which good Lord it was expensive!) I will have to find that catalog again. Anyway, love your layouts and I LOVED my October CK magazine. I can't wait to start making some halloween decor! Woo Hoo!

  22. Love the layout-so cute! I love reading you blog & your pictures are always amazing. My 4 & I especially love the music you have on it. She loves to dance to it. I'm so not techno savvy and can't burn cd's or anything so a lot of times I will just turn on your blog and leave it on for the music. Just wish I had internet access in the car ;) Thank's for letting us take a peek into your life! Carly, craftiegal @ ckmb

  23. if Avery is going to be Ariel (they have a cute but spendy Ariel at the Disney store), just a note: I found a baby flounder costume on brandsonsale.com. So cute! And warm and comfy for that cute baby!

  24. We have those same Froggy boots at our house! I wear them all the time...only kidding. My son begged me for those at the store and I couldn't resist getting them even if they are a bit girly. I took photos to do a layout ages ago and never did it. So that Smiling Frog layout is giving me some inspiration to finally do it.

  25. While looking for halloween costumes for my kids today. I came across a costume site that had "Ken & Barbie". I thought of you and Collin... think you'd make the perfect "Ken & Barbie".
