teeny tiny

I couldn't resist these cute ballet slippers last night when Avery and I took a trip to Target. Actually there were a few other items that I had to have-Target just does that to ya.
I can't believe her sweet, little feeties are going to fit in these. You really do forgot how little they are when they are first born.
I'm excited that we are counting down from 3 months now. In fact it's about 10 weeks. Yay! A few names that I am liking this morning are Quincy, Elyce, Sienna, and Reese. And we are pretty much set on one of those. I want to hold her first but it's really cute that Collin already calls her by her name.
If anyone is interested in Collin doing hand modeling for them, let me know!;)

  2. There is a girl in my survey of research design class named Elyse, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I vote for that one.

  3. I like them all. Maybe you should get Avery to say them and see what one sounds the cutest in her little voice. After all she'll be saying it a lot. Hope you are feeling better.

  4. Fun names! When I was expecting #1 I did a lot of research on names and stuff....I am really into the meanings behind names but I also came across an interesting thing that was about people's PERCEPTIONS about someone based on their name. For instance, if you met someone named Homer you would think geeky, nerd, pocket protectors. If, on the other hand, his name was Tiny, you would think of a big guy with a handlebar moustache and a Hell's Angel's tattoo.

My favorite is Reese. I think of Reese Witherspoon, one of my FAVORITE actresses. Elyse I think of a beautiful, gentle girl....kinda princessy. (Maybe that has something to do with the Barbie movies...) When I think of Sienna I think of the Southwest and the reddish brown mountains. And when I think of Quincy I think of two things...a little African American boy I used to go to school with (his name was Quincy) and fruit (Quince).

Whatever name you choose, it will fit her!

  5. Aww...those are so precious!! I love your name choices....I think Reese is my favorite of them. But, they are all lovely.

Anyways..I wanted to say hi. I stop in at your blog, but normally lurk. Thought I would post something this time!

    Have a great day!

  9. I too frequently stop by but never comment, but had to today because I have my own Sienna and I get compliments on her name constantly. Her full name is Sienna Grace which I obviously think is gorgeous so that one gets my vote!

  10. "I'm a hand model, mama. A finger jockey. We think differently than the face and body boys... we're a different breed." Name the movie...call my agent for my prices.

  11. Well, I guess I have to go along with the crowd, although I thought Reese was cute before I read their comments!

You commented on my blog?! I guess I'm famous by association! Thanks for thinking of my photography suggestion. I've been trying to get into it lately, and teaching myself hasn't been the best. I checked out a link on your blog to another one that talked about different lenses, etc. (can't remember the name of the blog). There were some great pics, but again, not much explanation. I think I just am curious about the lighting, what types of lenses you use, how you take such a great pic of yourself...?

I'm really trying to find a hobby here. The creativity of people out there just amazes me. I'm sort of involved in Stampin Up (my neighbor/friend from the ward is a demonstrator). But I feel like I don't have a ton of creative juices in my head. So I'm working on a hobby since I'm home with Cameron all day. And we're in school, so having a shopping hobby is out.

Anyway, thanks. I look forward to the post!

  14. Those little slippers are the type of thing that the word "adorable" was created for.

A friend of mine just found out she's having a baby girl, so I've had to make a conscious decision to totally, completely avoid the entire baby section of Target...otherwise, I just might walk out with everything!

  15. I love Elyce! I have such baby fever that I don't think I ever stop thinking about names! So exciting, it is so soon!

  16. Hey! Thanks for the comment on my blog. I can't wait for you to do a photography post. I'd love to make photography my new hobby. Is your camera a digital SLR? Oh, and I feel the same way about Target. I can never go in there & buy the one thing I actually went for...somehow other things always sneek into my cart! I vote for Quincy. Love it.

  19. Those shoes are adorable! And Collin makes a great hand model!

Elyce is my husband's favortie name for a little girl, but we get to go with Audrey next time around. hehe. All the names are perfect for a little girl, no matter what you choose!

  21. I have to admit, I am partial to Reese! My daughter's name is Hayley Reese (Reese as a first name just didn't "flow"). Though, when I was pregnant with her, my oldest was 2. Sydnie started calling my stomach "Bobo", and hence, the nickname has stuck. So, now little Hayley Reese, who is now 3, is either Bobo or Bo! AND she will NOT respond to Hayley or Reese. She is Bo! And, this fits her personality just fine.

  22. Reece is also my favorite, a perfectly delightful Southern Belle name that fits right along side Avery.

But more than that, I am interested in knowing how everyone here liking Reece will impact your final decision. I'd love to know if you are reading all of these thinking, "We are so transparent--everyone already knows it's Reece." Or "Everyone picking the wrong one--it's really Elyce and no one voting for that." Or "Wow--won't everyone be surprised."

Please make sure you tell us when you reveal the name . . . inquiring minds and all . . .

  23. So you don't know me, I know, but I love to read your blog. You are so talented and such an inspiration to me in so many ways.
I love the name Elyce...very unique and beautiful.
Have to say, we had named my baby "Katie" long before she was born, I even had some stuff personalized with "Katie" on it. When she came out - she was a Lauren. So we had to do a quick mindset change. I think that babies name themselves, so you may have to wait and "see".
Have fun with you new little one when she arrives!!!
