a benihana birthday

Thanks for all the birthday comments and especially thanks to Collin for the sweet post. Now everyone has an idea of how fun he makes everyday! And when I mention my totally cute, hilarious hubby-you will know exactly what I mean. :)
Also, in my defense I really did cut 4 1/2 inches off my hair last week, mini marshmallows are so yummy, and reason #1 is very, very real! :)

Thanks to Yaya for watching Avery so I could celebrate my birthday by going on a hot date with Collin. It started at Tepanyaki with not only a delicious dinner but the flaming onions, a greasy piece of shrimp tossed right at my nose, and a birthday wish.

Next stop, sponsored by Russ & Emily, was the Salt Lake Real vs. 'some team with David Beckham on it' soccer game. We were on the third row and were so close to Beckham we could smell Posh Spice. And also got to witness with our own eyes how to 'bend it like Beckham!' He scored two goals that were amazing! He's got some mad skills. Collin (who can out heckle anyone at sporting events) was talking some serious trash. Beckham looked up at him and smiled!

    We have a benihana type place like that here in St. George. I love the flaming volcano of onion. And I can never catch the shrimp in my mouth. It always slaps me in the forehead.

    I get you on the cutting your hair off. I love long hair, as does my husband (on me, not him)... I just had 2 inches cut off a couple of weeks ago and I was nervous about it. My 5 year old had really long hair (almost to her bum) and we cut it up to her shoulders! She was super excited about it. I was nervous about it because I love her long hair... but 5 year olds, summer, and bum long hair don't go together!!!

    Welcome to being 27. It's a great age. I'm 27 now and will be 28 in November. My husband however will be 30 in July. So it's fun to tease him about that!
