Hello.

I'm wearing my retainer that I haven't worn for years. It kinda hurts. Avery thinks I sound pretty funny too. Quincey is fast asleep dreaming of rainbows & giggles. Avery & I are hanging out in my half-painted office. I chose the color Sun Washed Blue by Ralph Lauren after admiring it at my favorite place to meet for lunch with Britney & Erin called Flour Girls and Dough Boys. It's not only totally cute but yuummmmy!!

I picked up these delicious treats from there. This weekend I took a little break from the computer, enjoyed the rain, cuddling under a blanket with a good book and listened to Conference. I needed to stop refreshing iGoogle and refresh myself instead-it was fantastic!

I don't know why I love taking pictures of food-specifically treats. Maybe it's so I can enjoy them longer than the .2 seconds it takes me to eat them. :)

This is what my office looks like. I did as much as I could while waiting for Collin to get home and move stuff for me. Okay... maybe I was just being a tad too lazy to do all the hard work of painting. Including taping, cleaning off my desk and taking off the outlet covers so, I just painted around everything. Yes, I'm a dork. :) Hope you're having a fabulous week thus far!

  20. I love that color. I used to have it on three of my bedroom walls (back when I was single) and I love how cheery it made everything look. I paired it down with some Ralph Lauren covers, pillows, curtains...it all looked so cute and happy. Even my bathroom shower curtains coordinated with the stuff in my room LOL! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did while I had it on my walls :)

  21. Can you do a blog entry about your studio/office? When it's done, I guess, would be a good time...
I'm in the middle of creating a scrapping space for me in our new guest room and am hungry for ideas...

  22. I love readng your bog and I am constantly inspired by your ideas. You are a couple of years younger thaan me but I feel like you have done Waaayyyy more in life. I just got married this summer and I am 29. I have been an art teacher for the past 5 years so I guess that keeps me busy! This may seem like too personal of a question but how do you stay do damn skinny...you just had a baby and you talk about munching on sweets quite often.....what is your secret???
Is there anyway you would share a Day-in-the-life-of experience with us????
    Thanks

  23. I'd love to have you give us a deeper peek into your organization process. Everything looks so cute and fresh. I need specific instructions like: baskets from Target, etc. I'll cross my fingers that you'll blog about this when you finish painting and want to show off your lovely room!

  24. Love all the pictures in your post and the color you're painting your office. I think I could post something very similar soon, as we are painting two bedrooms next week. And we have a bakery nearby ("Sensational Bites") that make the same cute flower-frosted cupcakes. They do take all of half a second to eat :)

  25. I think you should leave it just like that. :)

Mailed your package a few days ago - it should be arriving soon!

  26. Who takes the cute pictures of you and those of you and your hubby? I decided I need someone taking more pictures of me.

  27. You should really clear out all your stuff before you start painting...you'll get it all over!! YIKES!!

  28. Bonnie,
The color is sun washed blue by Ralph Lauren!

I will address some of the other questions when I finish up my office! definitely doing lots of reorganizing and purging of supplies! :)

  29. I really like the look of the half-painted office. I see no reason why you can't just leave it like that!

  30. Are you kidding? It's looks great! I think you should just leave it how it is, it'll add more color :D

  31. Love the color. Flour Girls is one of my favorite places to eat or get a treat (or both!). My kids love it, too, so we sometimes go on breakfast dates before school. Make sure to try their chocolate croissants . . . Mmmmmm!

  35. Hey Liz, it reminds me of our family room! Did that inspire you? My 6 swathes of varying shades of blue on our wall that finally ended up . . . robins egg blue!

Don't you love it!? I love ours! Love you!

  37. Got a kick out of your reason for taking pictures of food. It is something my kids have been giving me a hard time about since I started blogging. Food was not a subject for photography prior to that...
