One of my favorite techniques in scrapbooking that is quite preschoolish but fun-- paper piecing! Which is basically a fancy way to say cutting & layering paper. It took a bit more time to piece each of the butterflies from the blue wings paper but I love the dimension & cascading effect across the page.
blue wings paper
orange/magenta circles paper
pink wings transparency
love these woodgrain rubons I used on the bottom of the photo
American Crafts: letters & orange puffy thickers
Happy Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteThis layout is a blast! I can't help but smile looking at it. I love Thickers too...but I have been frustrated with the puckering up they sometimes do...especially the vinyl...have you found a solution to this?
ReplyDeleteSara, I have the same puckering up problem with my black vinyl pants. If anyone has a solution, please help.

ReplyDeleteWould LOVE to see Collin in his black vinyl trousers.. ;)
Glad to know I am not the only one who cuts up stickers and rub ons to make my titles work!
I love how you think outside the box! Create Create Create
ReplyDeleteCollin.......my husband has the same quirky sense of humor that you do. I actually lol at your comment as I read it thinking of my incredibly sexy, witty, makes me laugh every day, wonderful husband. We ARE lucky gals. And, Liz, one of the things I love about scrapbooking is that as I look at the page in the album, I think about the "story" behind the creation of it and what I was feeling and reminiscing about at the time (I usually cry at some point during the journaling). It's like a story in a story!!!! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteFabulous layout. Just gorgeous. She looks SO much like her dad! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI <3 Hambly too!
ReplyDeleteCute! :)
ReplyDeleteI <3 the tint/filter/color, whatever you call it, you used on the sweet pic's of your Q-T-Pie!

ReplyDeleteaww absolutely gorgeous!! (the page and your daughter) ;) love it Liz!
ReplyDeleteHey Liz, LOVE the page... but how did you get the "dimension"? The butterflies really seem to stand off the page, the wings as though they are flying! Did you bend them slightly first? Did you prop them up with something? It's awesome! And I have to say... I love Thickers too :D
