smorgasbord of numbers

You could call this post a smorgasbord of random thoughts but they all tie together with numbers.
This past weekend I celebrated my 10 year high school reunion. It actually was a lot of fun! I got the prize for 'Been in a Movie' even though I actually haven't been in a movie but I guess being on television was close enough. I loved seeing long lost friends, ones I see all the time, and ones I probably won't see again until my twenty year reunion. It's surprising that no matter how long it's been it feels like old times again.



This Wednesday come play a fun game with me:

Last night Collin thought of this cool idea to have everyone take a photo at the same time! Are you in? Here's how to play:
1 Have your camera handy on July 8th-this Wednesday mary's birthday! :)
2 Take a photo of whatever you are doing when your clock says 10:11 am or pm. (we won't worry about timezones)
3 Challenge yourself to think outside of the box in how you take the photo or don't worry about that part and just snap one real quick!
4 Post the photo on your blog or an online gallery. Leave a comment on my blog linked to your photo and be entered into a giveaway
(Yes, share this fun game with your friends on your blog, the more the merrier.)

If you need some extra motivation... here's a peek of the prize.

This Thursday July 9th is the last day to sign up for CKU-Provo! and the word on the street is that this will be the final CKU. So you won't want to miss it!

    Glad you had fun @ your reunion. I just went to my 20th last Nov. That sounds like fun about taking a pic @ the same time. I just hope I remember to do it.

    Cool idea... except I'm in Australia and we put the day before the month so on 07-08-09 it will be August... and my husband is hoping my baby will be born as it is due just a few days later :) What a shame I can't take a photo of that precious new life at that time!!

    Fun fun idea! I'm writing it on my calendar right now. I'm hoping my sister has her baby on 7-8-09 (she was due June 29th!). My son was born on 7-6-05, so that would be cool.

    How weird is this...
    I decide to spend this morning catching up the blogs I have bookmarked. I get to yours and start reading through the most recent posts. I see this one and stop to think, "What is today?" only to look at the date in the bottom of my screen to see that today is 7/8/2009 at the EXACT time it says "10:11 AM".
    WEIRD!

    I just received this from a friend:

    Today at 12:34 (and fifty six seconds) the time will be 12:34:56 7/8/09. Or 123456789. This only happens once every thousand years. Kind of interesting... :-)
