Putting together a book for our little one that's growing by the minute. Each month I'm writing a letter to him/her and including it in a glitter and sequin sprinkled envelope.
Waiting for my Punky Sprouts mini album in the mail to put it all together.
Today I'm 17 weeks and 3 days. Can you tell I'm keeping track? But my photo and notes are from four months.
4 months means:
-Morning sickness has been replaced with a truck driver's appetite. Although I'm not sure many truck drivers eat an entire pineapple in one sitting. Like I did. Yesterday.
-Holding tight to my jeans... which are now unbuttoned because I'm not ready to embrace my elastic waisted wardrobe.
-Continuing our morning run jog I mean walk. Just because I feel better when I get out and get my heart pumping. Seriously considering installing a motor to my double jogging stroller so instead of pushing 2 and carrying 1 they can just drag me.
-My iphone app explained over the past few months that our baby has grown from a poppyseed to a raspberry, a peach then an avocado, to a grapefruit and now a sweet potato. (And they wonder why I'm obsessed with food?)
-Feeling oh, so blessed for our little sweet potato.
The photo is couple weeks ago of my 4 month belly shot and I'm not kidding this baby has grown so much since Collin took it. I should have worn something tighter to show it off more instead of a dress. But don't worry, you won't be disappointed, ;) this belly will be ginormous by the 40 week mark--which is a very good thing.
There are lots of quaint, worn-down-but-still-have-their-charm homes around town so I may be visiting them every month to capture our baby growing.
Happy Friday... any fun plans?

ReplyDeleteI know that dress doesn't show it too much but it's fun to see how it grows over the next few months. :)
this is so cool how you're doing this! it would be nice for the baby to have too when she's older :]
ReplyDelete* or he
ReplyDeletehaha sorry!
So cute!! Are you wearing the same dress for every month's pictures?? I took a picture every week when I was pregnant and it was so much fun to see how much it grew!!
ReplyDeleteStephanie,
ReplyDeletehaha... yes he or she... soon we will know. :)
ARob,
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute idea but there's no way I'll fit into that dress even in a couple weeks. :) heehee
cute! the porch photo is absolutely delightful! hey and i think i saw you at the bijou market!!
ReplyDeleteCute bump! So happy you're having fun. Now's your chance to eat all the pineapple you want!
ReplyDeleteYou are just adorable! I understand about not wanting to break into the elastic waistband pants quite yet...I put mine off as long as I could, but a couple of weeks ago there was no more fooling myself...or my pants! I'm 25 weeks this Sunday & loving every minute of it (well, almost every minute of it! ha!)
ReplyDeleteLove the album idea...so cute! :) Have a fun weekend!
You look beautiful, as always!! mmm- pineapple! When I was pg with #2, I was obsessed with pineapple, so much so, I had to have bath wash and lotion, too! Gorgeous and lovely idea for your mini book. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteToo Cute! LOVE the idea for the mini album, it's beautiful. Which style of Punky Sprouts album are you getting? I wasn't familiar with them, so I looked them up online and they look really cool!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute pregnant! And I love the sneak peak of the mini album your creating. Nice bright colors that pop!
ReplyDeleteI'm just not sure you could be any more lovely...what a wonderful photo! Have you tried the belly bands? I think I made it through my whole pregnancy (well, until the very end) wearing all my regular pants! Yay! Love your album pieces - just wonderful! Best of luck and thanks so much for letting us share this amazing time with you!
ReplyDeleteVery cute -- you and your idea. I had to wait for my first bio child for a LONG time, had her when I was 45. I wanted to document every minute, every feeling. I wanted her to know how much she was loved and wanted, even though she is technically the sixth child (adoption, stepkids). I'm sure your third will feel the same way, that you wanted him/her just as much as the other two. Such a gift for your sweet baby. Oh, and love the swiss dots embossing! Wishing you all the best!! Lori
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful with your non-growing belly pic...ha!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! Congratulations! Grace xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Lizzy. Sounds fun to scrapbook this important moment in life. One day, maybe when I finally decide that I am ready to have a baby, i will do that too. Very sweet. I like your blog.

Love too see yours when you've put it together!
Lizzy, you look great!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww! Well, of course, you are adorable pregnant! I love that dress! Ruche is one of my favorite shops! I know what you mean about hanging onto those non-elastic jeans. I held out the longest with my third. Who would have thought? Wishing you lots of whole pineapple eating days!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute! 17 weeks...does that mean that you get to find out what you are having soon??? Are y'all finding out? Pushing a double jogging stroller while carrying a baby in your belly is about the toughest thing I have ever done, but trying to still do it at 33 weeks myself...I LOVE your idea for installing a motor!
ReplyDeleteYou need one of these, I saw them on Tori and Dean. Awesome idea, very costly though. I could so see you and Collin riding your little pumpkins around on these!

I ma so jealous -I have six-5 girls and 1 boy! Everyone thinks we're CRAZY but me and my hubby would have more if we could lol. Girls rule in our house and my two guys are definitely outnumbered!
ReplyDeleteWhat ever you have, boy or girl, will be awesome because you have such an great family.

ReplyDeleteHey Lizzy!
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted on the sex of the baby and the pregnancy! I'm so happy for you! I'm pregnant with my first....any tips? Morning sickness is really bad. Do you have the same problems? Help!

Thank you for making me LAUGH OUT LOUD today...I loved reading Collin's tweets! :) My laugh for the day! I wish I looked that amazing when I was preggo!
ReplyDeleteI was hooked on fruit and slurpees the entire 9 months. Ah, sugar, that is what got me through those 9 months of being uncomfortable. Of course I had to make things for the new baby and that kept me busy.....I wonder if that was the sugar working on me?
