Hola!

I overheard a lady on the beach say,"Who's idea was a beach vacation anyway?" I looked at Collin and realized that until then I thought those two words coincided. I guess you could say we are serious beach bums and happy to note that our little Avery is too! We hung out at the beach everyday and Avery ran along the shore saying "hi" to everyone she saw, exploring through the sand, and trying to run into the ocean with her arms in the air like a monkey. Then she'd sleep in her little canopy on the beach for a couple hours, or until she heard little ninas running around, then she would jump up and was ready to play. . .
Avery is definitely a conversation starter and was famous at our resort. It all started when a Reggae band performed one night and she walked right up to the front dancing and waving at the Bob Marley look alike. He was waving back and they ended up putting her on stage where she clapped and danced. It was hilarious.

Other things we loved- the endless coladas, delicious food, the tree with branches we could swing on like Tarzan, Collin riding the 8 foot waves our last day(they were HUGE,) beach volleyball, the awesome cover bands, meeting people from all over the world, and karaoke (just picture this- all you can drink tequila and a guy in a Chicago Bulls jersey singing "Stairway To Heaven.") But the best part -just being together- all day!

Vacation is such renewal for me and I am ready to conquer the world when I get back- one diaper at a time:)

"In all living, have much fun and laughter.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured. . . "

I woke up today with a problem weighing on my mind, and walked outside and sat by the river, trying to find inner calmness through the sound of the water and the sun on my face, to no avail.
Peeking in to: "Life is Good, Live it Up!" gave me the internal emotional shift I sought. It is a grounding, and cheering ritual that brings such joy to me, Elizabeth! The love you froze in time for us all to enjoy of Avery spontaneously reaching out to touch herloving Daddy cheek--what a treasure.
Thank you for bringing much happiness into my life --all because you chose to use your gifts and talents in this generous and creative way. I expect you had to deal with and overcame the human tendency to shyness, false modesty, or the worry of other's judgements or envy, to follow your heart and put it out there for us all to see into.
Just wanted you to know that sharing that loving, optimistic and grateful heart is a daily encouragement to me and helps me to look on the bright side and celebrate the sweet simple goodness in life!
