Martha and Mookie

I still am shocked about Martha's Blueprint magazine being cancelled!! But I will hopefully get over it in time:)
Despite my sadness and slight grudgings I was inspired by one of her ads for a scrapbook page. What sort of things inspire you lately? Sometimes I am surprised at the random things that get my creative juices flowing.

Nothing too crazy is going on at our home...

Our dog keeps running off like a wild pimp and spent the night in an animal shelter. The ladies can't resist Mookie's smoldering stare and how he 'shakes his tail feather' as he struts down the street!!
We need to obey the wise words from Bob Barker on The Price is Right and get him fixed.
In other news...
Collin started training for a triathlon with his Dad.

Avery would watch the Little People DVD over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over if I let her.

I am so excited-Houston CKC here I come!!

Debbie,
Crazy huh? An editor at CK sent me this link
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119730824086819564.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

it's an article from Wall Street Journal and they announced it on the Blueprint blog in early December. So sad!!!!

true, losing blueprint is sad... I wonder why... I hear their reasons, but I really wonder why still... anyhow, awesome layout, love that the inspiration was from an ad... are you going to CHA? If you do Margaret and I will see you there!

I came across your blog, and I just had to comment. My daughter looks close in age to Avery (my daughter is 21 months), and she would watch Little People all day, everyday, too, if I would let her. "Mama . . . Peet-l" is what I hear all day long! lol My boys liked it, too, when they were that age. Loved your LO, too!

We are experiencing the same repetition in our house..."Letter Factory" to the millionth degree!

Too bad there is no CKU in California this year...any word on why?? I would offer my backyard for the big event...Anything to attend!

Not so sure Lisa would be hip on that idea!

My 2 1/2 year old LOVES the Little People movie too. While traveling during the holidays we were so sick of hearing it in the car that we listened to it in the other languages and she still loved it.

No more blueprint magazine, NO! That's not good at all. I'm sorry. :-(

I'll be at CKC on the 19th! I'm not taking any classes, but my hubby got me passes for the floor. I'm all kinds of excited. Maybe I'll bump into you. Hope you have a safe trip.

Good luck to Collin and his dad. I bet they'll do great.

Great layout though, Girly!

Do you print your own pics? I'd like to develop/print smaller pics like you did on your 'makes me happy' lo.

elizabeth kartchner said...

Yes, I printed those smaller prints at home. Jenn, let me know if you need help with that.

elizabeth,
i would love to know what you use. i just recently found out that Photoshop elements isn't as difficult as i had first thought... i hear the printing options there are flexible. what do you use? and what printer? the quality of mine isn't up to par (since i'll be doing more printing at home now).

I was looking at scrapbooking sites and came across your blog. We went to school together (canyon crest--timpview) Anyway, your layouts are great. I work at Martha Stewart, and just wanted to let you know that blueprint content will be in the wedding magazine, on her t.v show and on the blueprint blog
