white rabbits!

On the first day of every month before you say anything else you're supposed to say, "white rabbits!" Then you'll have good luck all month! I've remembered once...and I forgot again today. I did manage to mumble "fuzzy bunnies" one morning, close enough:)!
Some more fabric love.

With another little girl on the way I have this urge not to miss out on anything Avery is up to. So, I made this simple album to record all the silly stuff she's up to that I don't ever want to forget! I cut the album shape from really, really thick cardstock that was big enough to hold the Making Memories spiral journaling book. Then I covered it with fabric, sewed the book inside, added fabric tabs, and a button on the front and back to close with ribbon. The journal entries and pictures for proof are already making me laugh!

I first saw these fun owl albums on the Scrap In Style website by the artist bettiescrapbook. I literally ran to the fabric store because I couldn't resist making a few of my own.
I made one for my sis Emiy for Christmas and put pics on the owl shaped pages inside. I'm going to fill Avery's with pictures of the family. She can say everyone's name except Jonathan, her 9 year old Uncle, so she just laughs! Or I was looking for some cute animal stamps because she loves going through all the animals and the different sounds they make. My favorite is monkey and chicken.

Next project, curtains for the girl's room!! Maybe I'll just head over to Target for that one! Any cute girl's room ideas?

Oh yeah about the girls room...I got the cutest chandelier at Swiss Days last year, you could probably totally make it. I am just lazy! It is just white with tulle & ric rack, ribbon & pom poms... it totally finishes Avi's room.

Hey there! I've just wandered over, and thought I'd tell you, I think it's great you're having two girls! I think you'll love the interaction and the hero worship. So fun to watch!

Also, about animal noises... we do a chomping sound for giraffes (one of MY favorite animals, and I guess they don't have vocal chords), and a little spitting noise for camels, because ... well, they spit.

One of my favorite color combos for girls is robin's egg blue with a cherry red. Also, a friend of mine traced different sized dinner plates and filled them in with different paint colors for the cutest polka dot girls room you've ever seen!!!!

I love your owls! I've been wanting to find a cute owl to do a page or wall art piece about my daughter's name, Sophia (means wisdom) I wanted to use a "wise" owl for it...hint, hint!
No really, could you just post instructions?
Also love the love book! I just want to run to the fabric store now!

Adorable. The book is so stinkin' cute. Please post more pics of it. Especially the inside. Us non-creative girls out here need to see pics in order to pull some projects off.
The owls are presh also!
Thanks for sharing all this cutesy stuff you've created.

I JUST went to a scrap night last night and worked on my daughters book "Oh the things you Say..." and I had just bought those new makine memories journal spirals too!!! The one that it looks like you used (easter line) AND the funky blue/black/white one! My girl is 2.5 and the things she says are just the greatest... I want to cherish them forever! I'll have to post my book soon too! Have FUN! And I second the pottery barn comment, I look through that magazine the day it comes and rip out my favorite pages to go in my 'inpiration binder' :)

Hi Elizabeth - you have NO idea who I am, but I went to High School with your husband, Collin - we even had some classes together. Your blog is so cute! You are so creative, I can't get over it. Congrats on having another little girl - I have 2 boys, so I'm afraid I'm not much help when it comes to ideas for a Girls room!
