baby details

The countdown has begun! Everything is being washed in Dreft, gently folded and waiting for our baby girl!
Some finishing touches, like this butterfly, are added to the tiny white onesies.
The blankets I sewed for her are not only as cute as her little bottom but just as soft too.
And you didn't think scrapbooking supplies was just for scrapbooking, right? I put together some flowers for her pretty little head. Collin was so cute with baby Avery and everyday put a tiny bow with some karo syrup on her head. Well, now he has a garden to choose from.

What do you think?-I'm guessing a week from today she'll make her grand entrance! Avery surprised us a day early. Our Doctor told us yesterday that this little babe is pretty cozy in my tummy at the moment. :)

PS Join me tonight at the Creating Keepsake's Message Board! I am hosting Happy Hour from 8-10 Mountain Standard time. (10-12 Eastern) It'll be a party you don't want to miss!

OOohhh! How exciting!!! Prayers for a safe and sound delivery for both mama and baby!

Let's see, in my experience, the little buggers never like to come when expected so I will say one week and two days from today! But for your sake... 5 days from now! :)

I had the SAME question as posted above - about what you use for clips. Are you just using the 1 1/4 inch snap clips?

That is so hilarious because I just started doing all that today. I've got onesies appliqued, flowers all ready to gluestick into our new baby Penelope's hair and I finished my first quilt for her. But, I also made her first tutu with a matching flower at the waistband, so I think you should do some for your new baby. Seriously, how cute are newborns in onesies & tutus? And they are so dang easy! But I am jealous you only have a week, I have a little under 2 months. Lucky girl

How cute liz! I made some cute onesies too off of the Martha Stewart website. I love the iron-on applique idea. Little girls are so much fun, I cant wait to have ours! Good luck with everything!

I've never heard of using Karo syrup to put bows on a baby head. I wish my mom knew that little trick when I was a round-headed, bald little thing. As for that onesie, it's adorable! I wanted to do something like that for my cousin, but couldn't find fabric I liked in enough time, so I made a shadowbox instead.
I hope everything goes well and safely with the new baby! It's too exciting! God bless you four!

Just wanted to let you know that you inspired me yet again. I made a poor attempt to sew a cute heart on my daughter's shirt. Why had I not thought of this before? Such a good idea.
