Road Trip

Gearing up for the "Spudman" Triathlon with our game faces on! Watch out here we come!

Two must-have necessities for a sucessful road trip!

"Are we there yet?"
Thank goodness Q&A slept all the way home!

It was reminiscent to be back in Idaho & make a stop at my old stomping grounds of Rupert, Idaho. I made Collin take me back to my old house and take pictures. (I'll post soon.) Maybe it was the beautiful scenery mixed in with James Taylor singing in the background that had me wishing I was living in a small town again. I loved being back there! Maybe I'm a small-town girl at heart.
PS Wish I could have hit those sidewalk sales!

Hi Elizabeth. I came from a small town and moved near NYC after I married. We moved back down to a small town and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Hope you have a fun trip!

Q&A....I love it! Gotta make shortcuts where you can. When you took photos of your old house did you get any weird looks? I used to live in the city and when I jumped out of my car to take a few photos all of the neighbors got really concerned. I think they thought I was a repo woman or something. Oh well, I got the shot :-) Hope you had a nice trip!

Did you realize you'd have a Q&A when you named Avery? or was that one of those afterthoughts! To funny!

Can't wait for those yellow specs to arrive here!

Birthday presents are so hard!

I love small towns... when I went through my "gilmore girls" phase I wished I could live in a place like "stars hollow". Love it all!

Hope the "spudman" goes well. My dad was going to do it... but he broke his foot training! :(

Ah...good old Rupert. I grew up in Jerome and my brother and his family have lived in Rupert for about the last 20 years. Gotta love small town life!

I come from a pretty small town too!! I graduated from a class of 34(ish)... The K-12 school was on one block including, elementary building, Jr High/High School (shared) building, gym, multi-purpose room and football field/track!!!

We just vacationed by Bruno in Idaho at CJ Strike, it was fun spending a week on the lake!!!

I found your blog through CK magazine, and love reading it! Your family is beautiful and your style is fun and unique. You have introduced me to some new favorite music too...so thanks for broadening my horizons and increasing my iTunes inventory!

Remember how walking to school you would get chased by farm animals maybe experiences like that is what you missed the most. Oh was it our incredible garden in the back that dad would make us till. I can't wait to see pictures of the smurf house the best house in the world.

Love it, I love Avery's eyes and how they are just like yours, and Collins. Now there are 3 sets of eyes like that on this planet!

A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of your blog when she read you were from Rupert because she knew I grew up in Rupert, too. Of course I had to see if I recognized you ( I don't) I graduated Minico 1996. I haven't been back in 10+ years since my parents moved right after I graduated.

Anyway, I really enjoy your blog and will keep reading.

All the best to you and your family.
