Lesson #458

Don't turn your back on Avery and a jar of buttons!
Love the evidence of one stuck to her leg as she tries to get on my desk for more goodies! :)

If anyone wants to come over for a fun game of 734-Button Pick-Up, please feel free!

How funny! My little girl Brynley has her OWN little container of buttons so she feels included!

That is so cute. I love how you capture the every day or not-so-everyday moments. You must have your camera with you 24/7. I have got to do a better job of having mine with me at all times.

I love the button stuck to her leg - So darn cute! What girl can resist those beautiful, colorful jar of buttons?
My mom had a big bowl of pennies in her LR when my kids were young and they would play with those pennies for hours! They would fill up different containers, empty them, fill them, etc.
Maybe a bowl of buttons would keep Avery busy, but bigger buttons would be easier to pick up, lol.

What a fabulous photo of little Avery.....wait until Quincey Rose is a little older......can you imagine the two of them together....hehehehehe. But really can you blame her....all our scrapbooking stash is so pretty everyone wants to get their hands on it...I have the same problem with my granddaughter, she always wants to use my best stuff so I have had to buy her her own stash.

My washer and dryer still bear the 'scars' from my tape runner entertaining my then 5 year old son...I know if I just got my hands on some goof off or undu I would have a nice clean washer and dryer front!! Anyway, I feel your pain hun! I'm in South Jordan, I could come play gazillion button pick up with you...but I would have to bring my 2 yo son, and we wouldn't get very far....

My daughter too loves to get into the buttons. I keep finding them all over her bedroom. She is a scrapbooker in training!

I swear kids find it theraputic to sort through small things. For my Avery, it's Lite Brite pieces!

OMG...too funny! I agree that I need to have my camera with me more often, so I too can capture more of those everyday shots.

Look how easily your daughter accessorizes--even the button stuck to her leg matches her outfit. She's a natural!!! Too much temptation on a scrapbookers desk. It's just begging to be looted. Thanks for sharing the fun and not so fun moments of motherhood. Those of us on the other end (with grown kids) are just grinning remembering those days. You too will survive!!! Enjoy the ride.

Here's a quick solution - put one of those nylon stockings on the end of the vacuum hose and secure it with a rubber band then vacuum. It will pick up the buttons, but they won't get sucked into the vacuum. Works well with eyelets, bling, whatever.
Have a great day!

At least it wasn't brads, right? You are so funny...look at her climbing up onto your sacred "stuff" while you snap away!

I've played this game once too many times with my 3 boys :) LOL!! I've given up and just hand them a container of buttons to play with when I'm trying to scrap.

Loving the photo of the button stuck to her leg :)

This happened at my house with those fusable beads...you know the ones where they put them on a plastic template and then you iron them together? The ones that have about five hundred thousand in a container! That was a fun cleanup :) I'm still finding them in strange places one year later.

Oh...a shout out to my friend Amy who commented right above me!
