As a school teacher, I felt it was my duty to empower my 6th graders a bit today. I held a mock election, showed a few powerful youtube clips, and check out what I wore...
We totally did! Took a nice morning walk as a family to our precinct and then went to a french cafe for breakfast afterwards. They even gave our little girl a 1st time voter sticker, but she was with me at the primaries too.
I voted in my first national election since I turned 18 five months after the last one :( - and i was wondering about the hair too!! Haircut?? Either way it looks cute!
I too think your hair is cute and want to know if you cut it! :) And my vote sticker was white - yours is way cuter ;) But they let miss Em have one too and she loved it!
Also, in my previous comment I did not mean to sound as if I was bashing anyone's party. I simply stated that no matter the outcome I am proud of who I voted for. So please if you feel it nessisary to come and leave a comment on my blog about something I said here, have the decency to leave your name. (sorry Elizabeth... but felt since someone followed me from your comments page, this is where I should address it. you can delete this if you feel it's not appropriate ;0) I never meant to cause an issue)
I sure did! My 4 year old and I went~I make the choices and he pushed the button. Then he told everyone in Kroger that we voted for "the old man and the lady."
I so voted and am happy with the results of Tuesday. Can I also just say how incedibly gorgeous you look in that photo. WOWSER! Did you cut your hair? I also love the music on your blog. Everytime you put up a new one I have to instantly get it off of itunes. I love your taste in music. Girl, you rock! Can I be you when I grow up?
Hello Elizabeth, I am Spanish, here in Spain we wanted that Obama was going out, I hope that it is a good change. Not for whom you voted but I hope that what avenges is good. Congratulations for your blog and these two daughters' jewels. Excuse my english!! Regards
