Achoo!

Change is good, right? (Or at least inevitable.)
because change leads to growth
growth requires sacrifice
sacrifice builds character. :)

...regardless I am still allergic to change.
I wonder if Collin sometimes wishes that I had the same allergy for yellow shoes, {starting} home projects, irresistible baby clothes, craft stores & photo booths.

Haha...starting home projects (I can totally relate to this!)

Change is usually much better in hindsight, in my opinion! Love the picture!

Change is hard, but good at the same time. Are you announcing some kind of change? :)

Amazing picture! And my husband too wishes I was allergic to shopping...especially this weekend when I found and purchased the most adorable green heels from Nordstroms as my early push present. Now if he will let me get the pink too!

thanks for the comments!

lisa,
very true! no, i'm not announcing any huge change... just some things in our little kartchner family that are throwing us for a whirl. :)

pretiflowerliz,
thanks!
Collin was the mastermind behind this photo. He saw a cement tube when we were driving down the road and wanted to try a shot through it. Luckily, the camera and umbrella were in the car. :)

thanks again for your comments! :)
they make my day!

It's so hard to make those conscience changes. I like the ones that just happen naturally much better. I don't have a choice but to go along.....and it turns out to be for the best anyway. I have a fear of the unknown and that overwhelming fear of discovering you've made a wrong decision. But if you never take the leap, you never find out....Good luck figuring it out. That's a great photo! I'll have to try that with the boys at the playground. **I wonder if they'll stand still for 10 seconds???***

I hate change too! We will be moving in November and I am already anxious.

I love how whimsical the bright pops of color no your outfit look against the washed out background. Lovely!

Eeek! Change is scary often, but I love the silver lining that we see once we take the leap to accept it.

Hey Liz, how do you change the size of your side margins so those super big pics will fit? I am blog retarded! :0)

what an awesome photo! Colin has a great eye doesn't he? I really need to get my hubby behind the camera..he just doesn't seem to have much interest!

Change is good. Sometimes.

Change has been the story of our lives for the past four years...with moving, and changing jobs, and not knowing what will happen day to day...I'm ready for a big change...FOR THINGS TO STOP CHANGING for a little while!!! :) It's always been for the better though, so I suppose complaining isn't the best thing to do!

I so hate change too (I am definately allergic), but like you I know it is inevitable & try to embrace it. Praying that your change is a good transition & you learn something positive. Love your blog.

You guys take the best pictures. My husbamd would never know a good shot if it hit him in the head. Change is good but sometimes it comes in ways we don't want it to. In the end you looki back and are glad it happened.

I agree that change is not always an easy thing to deal with, but in the end I usually think - "what was I ever worried about!". Funny about the yellow shoes, today I broke out my cute flats with the yellow toe(from Old Navy)and I told my husband that these are just the kind of shoes Elizabeth K. would wear:):)

It's so cool that your hubby likes to partake in the photo fun! Mine got so sick of the camera that I can't even get a normal picture anymore!! I was wondering if you did the shades of summer album? I sent in a picture of my daughter with the glasses (she's way cuter than me!!) and I was wondering if you got all the pics back or if you did that album?
Thanks,
Alice

Change can be scary; fear of the unknown, but the best thing for me to do is Embrace Change. Change is gonna happen, so I might as well make the best of it. (I moved from my beloved home state of Washington last year-not by choice-but I'm making the best of my new home).
That picture of you is fabulous!! You look like a professional model :)

Oh yeah, confession time: I have a lot of scrapbooking projects that I have started and never finished :(
