Liz, you are the absolute funnest blogger. I would never think of taking a picture of my cookie dough and blogging about it, but you do and you make it so much fun! BTW, where did you get that adorable cookie cutter? I love to read your blog {hardly ever commenting} and getting to know more about your fun adventures, kids, and your everyday life. What a full-of-life personality you have. Thanks for writing such a great blog, so much fun to read!

here is my FAVE... i usually use this on cinnamon rolls... but it's great on cupcakes and cookies as well.

1/3 c soft butter
3 cups confectioners sugar
1.5 t vanilla
about 2 T milk (add more milk in for consistency)

blend butter and sugar. stir in vanilla and milk, beat until frosting is smooth and of spreading consistency.

There is a great classic buttercream frosting recipe on wilton.com that I've used forever. It's just perfect for sugar cookies!

The easiest recipe I have and my favorite for Sugar Cookies

½ cup white Crisco
½ cup oleo, softened
1 tsp vanilla
3 Tbsp milk
4 cups powdered sugar
Dash salt

Beat together for 10 minutes.

Enjoy!!

I just wing my frosting but it's similar to the recipe that MommyMe posted. I also use jello powder to color and flavor my frosting. Haven't had anyone not love it yet. Let us drool over those finished cookies too. ;)

Mmm, those cookies look delish! I figured out that my school's internet filter is blocking your music. I'll just have to settle for listening to it at home. :)

The best recipe for fluffy frosting-handsdown! Made these yesterday for a baptism fireside and they were gone in seconds-and the cupcake recipe with it is pretty dang good too!

The recipe MommyMe suggested is THE BEST--I use it on sugar cookies, to decorate cakes, etc. You just add more milk for spreading consistency, less to pipe it out of an icing bag.
