sugar coated day

If pictures could talk, or if 3 year old kiddos could stop long enough, they would say this party was totally awesome!! Bubbles, Craft time (putting together foam animals & painting) and all you can eat cake--what more could lil fancy pants ask for?
patiently waiting We sang the birthday song Avery style... 'Happy Birthday to you... cha cha cha. Happy Birthday to you... cha cha cha!...'
Make a wish...
After the sugar kicked in... this face made it all worth it!

On the menu we had fruit kabobs and the yummiest fruit dip, chips and salsa, veggies and dip, pink lemonade... and lots of treats!
Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us!! ♥ and the rain for being somewhat cooperative!

Do tell where you got Avery's outfit from?
Also, is this in your back yard or at a park? Is that a picnic table you painted white?
One more question where did you get those paper flowers hanging from the tree is that from martha stewart? Ok enough questions have a great day. And Happy birthday to Avery!

Hi Bethany,

the skirt was made by my sister's sister in law.

I just emailed her to see if she is still making them I know she stopped for a while so I will get back to you...

Hi Ally
I answered your first question above...
The party was in our backyard
the table and bench are from IKEA
The paper flowers are Martha Stewart Pom Poms kit (makes 5 total)
thanks!! :)

Parties are so much fun...and so much work! I'm glad you could come over on Sunday to relax a bit and let me feed you all. You planned and executed a perfect party...resisted the urge to invite too many 3 year olds, planned perfect activities with an easy flow, beautiful setting and lots of love all around!

You definitely created a memory for all of us, including little guest Jane: "Dis is my fust buthday pahty eveh!"

Thank you Collin and LIz! And Avery, thank you for sharing your special day with us!

hugs, Gigi

Happy Birthday Avery. It looks like she had a great time at her party. I remember my daughter's 3rd birthday party, and now I'm planning her 9th! I'm loving how she's into retro 70's things and wants a happy face birthday party...I'll have fun with that one.

It looks like Avery had a great birthday. What did you do to your photos before you posted them? They look great!

Sally said...

A great birthday. I can remember the day my daughter turned 3. The pictures are wonderful. Do you run your pictures through Adobe before posting them? I love the color and lack of shadows.

Scrappyhour said...

Love all the candid shots! You've probably answered this before on your blog, but what camera do you use to take those great pics? I am looking to buy a new camera and I have limited camera knowledge, but I do want one with very little delay since I have an almost 2 year old and a 3 year old.

Hey Elizabeth. Geez -- everything is so gorgeous. Can I BE you when I grow up? :)

If your sister's sis-in-law isn't making the skirts anymore, could I get a pattern number/some details so I could make it myself? Too cute!

What a CUTE party! :) I made the pom pom flowers for my Emma's 4th birthday on May 3! I decided to suck it up and make them myself rather than good ol' Martha kits... try it next time! :) easy and CHEAP!! I made big and small - all hot pink and white. Girls are so fun! Anyway, Happy Happy Birthday to Avery!

adorable! we sing the 'cha cha cha' version too (my neices taught it to me.) then we sing 'skip around the room, skip around the room, we won't shut up till you skip around the room.' I don't know where that came from...

happy b-day to you and your little sweetie. :)

Absolutely adorable party! I just found the MS pom-pom kit (same colors) at Wal-Mart in the clearance isle for $5.00! I happened to be walking by and eyed these - so funny because I just looked them up on-line and they were 19.99. Of course I grabbed them for my daughters party in August :) Thanks for the great ideas as usual!!

Question: does Collin have a flower on his head or is that a flower hanging from the tree that just LOOKS like it's on his head???
