wiseguy

If there's one thing that's second nature to Collin that's his clever, witty remarks. I'm one of those people who would hope that some natural disaster would prevent me from public speaking... let alone making people laugh on top of that. But to Collin it's his flow and he loves it! He'd only been to 'open mic' in Salt Lake twice & they were so impressed they asked him to take 15 minutes that following Saturday at Wise Guys in Orem. There's no doubt I would've laughed my butt off if he'd got up there and told a few knock knock jokes--but of course he had better bits than that & everyone thought he was hilarious!

Part of our gang that night... Mostly everyone left before we took the photo but it was fun that so many people came to support him. Thanks! Way to go babe!

Here's a mini I made with The Girls Loft September kit. It's of Avery's first day at pre-school. I really wanted to get a lot of my thoughts down & what she might have been thinking that day. She was thrilled, enjoys her teacher, and loves being around other kiddos. Like I said in my previous post, it's only a couple days for a couple hours cause we'd miss her too much!
I loved covering the apple shaped mini album. I sewed the paper on the chipboard then I sewed around just the paper for the backside and glued it down. Yes, I sew through chipboard with my sewing machine... it's a real trooper.

Happy Monday!
PS Shades of Summer update next... the shades are moving (slowly but surely:)

What a gorgeous album. Your projects are always so inspirational to me and great for projects with my own two little gals. Love mini albums since they're like little story books and much easier to handle than 12x12 albums. Thanks, -Claudia

Your blog is terrific Elizabeth!
I stop by each day...this is my first comment, but had to tell you that little apple mini album is too cute! I wish that I had taken many, many more photographs of my children when they started preschool so long ago...
Happy Monday!

Do you have a video of Colin? He is very funny! I love the apple too. My baby just started kindergarten this year--now all 3 are in school. At least it leaves me more time to blog hop and scrap!

Honesty, if Colin's stand up is half as funny as his hijacked blog posts, he should be on Last Comic Standing!

Cute papers, adorable pics, you never cease to inspire!

Woohoo Collin!!! Love the hijacked blog post and I'm sure you're as funny (if not more) with a mic on a stage.

And the album is so tweet, Liz! If you don't mind, what's your sewing machine? Getting one this Thanksgiving but with all the models out there I think its best to get a first-hand comment/recommendation. :-)
Thanks!

Must-have-apple-album...so cute Liz. My baby girl started preschool too last week. Hers is only a couple days for a couple hours too. Baby G and me get work done at the library while she learns away. Can you believe how fast it goes. My baby is already 12weeks! Goodness.

I don't know what your DH does for a living but after reading that post when he hi-jacked your blog & wrote about his experiences looking after your kids I realised that he is AS talented as you but in his own hilarious writing area ;-D Now I hear he can rock it live too...you two are one talented pair ;-D{BTW I have the link to that post saved to read when I need a laugh} & can honestly say that THAT is THE funniest post I have read in my year of blogging...THE FUNNIEST!!! I think you need to ship Collin to Hollywood to join the likes of Ben Stiller meself!

Hi Lizzie. I'm a blog follower of yours and I always look forward to CK to check out your latest projects. I really loved this mini apple album so much that I jointed their kit club (my 1st). I just wanted to ask if you could post info on the sewing onto chipboard. I really want to try it, but I'm scared. Keep up the great work and have a great day!!!
