one man's weeds are another man's wishes

...say that ten times fast. We played outside a couple days ago enjoying the cool, fall weather. We made wishes and then blew the dandelion seeds away...I hope this doesn't mean there will be a ton of weeds now (don't tell Collin). That's okay, maybe that just means our wishes will come true:) Yesterday it was snowing, I don't think I am ready for that-just yet!

Avery stopped for a second to think-what can I get into next? Tupperware cupboard? Check. Mommy's scrapbooking magazines? Check. The toys in the TV room? Check. What about the clean laundry waiting to be folded?...

Avery is so darling. And I know what you mean about the snow. I was wearing flip flops Friday and boots Saturday. I haven't gotten enough of fall yet!

Hi Liz,
This is Heather from yoga. I got on Mandy's blog and found your blog. It was fun reading your blog and all. I had no idea that we have girl's that are the same age until I saw you at Norstrom's that one day. Let's keep in touch. My blog is fragtality.blogspot.com

Ewwww... snow already! It's been really nice here in So. Utah. We went up into the mountains on Saturday to see the leaves changing colors. They won't start changing here until around November.

I LOVE dandelions. I always let my kids pick them, and blow the seeds all over my lawn. It's all about letting your children have experiences in life.
And hey, that's what they make "Scotts Turf Builder With PLUS 2 Weed Control"... right!

I love the pictures that you caught.

I love the kids' curiosity at this age and how they can be delighted by the smallest things. How appropriate you had Jack Johnson's "Upside Down" from Curious George playing today. Have a great week!

Aw, you gotta love toddlers. They never stop until they crash at night. Enjoy her now, because I can tell you from experience (4 kids worth) that her age is not bad. Ages 3-5 are the worst, when they can talk very well, and they have an opinion, sometimes a strong one, and they are willing to drive you absolutely crazy in making sure that their way is the way that is followed.
My favorite age is probably from 12 months up until maybe 2 1/2 years old. You can really see the wheels turning in their heads during that time and they learn so much, so fast!!

I can't believe it was snowing there already. You guys need Fall weather for a little longer, definitely. Avery is such a sweet girl. I am still sad I wasn't able to babysit her. You better let me someday!

When I saw your blog last week I was too overwhelmed with you 2 million comments. (Nacho Libre, by the way) Huge CONGRATS on scrapbooker of the year. I need you to give me lessons. I struggle anyway but now that you are award winning... it's a whole new ballgame!

I didn't even notice yesterday that your main song was "Upside Down." LOVE that song!!!... If fact, It's one of the songs on my blog. Along with "Talk of the Town." Those two songs make me happy. "Talk of the Town" kind of describes where I want to be.

Have you seen that Curious George movie? If not, it's totally inspiring! I rented it way back in the spring. Since then I have looked all over in the stores for it... but have never found it. I just need to break down and make an amazon order!

Oh my goodness, you already had SNOW?? And I thought Indiana was bad! Maybe you should dress Avery as an Eskimo for Halloween. :)

Finally watched "The Office" episode this weekend...Dwight continues to amuse me. "A farmer does what city folk don't have the stomach to do." Too funny! And did you see the huge handgun he fired to start the race? Hee-larious.

Here's a link to a quotes game...you said you and your hubby enjoy a good Office quote battle!
