Where I BeLOnG

Did you catch my secret message in the title? hehe! A couple friends asked to see the birds above my desk, well, here you go! They're vinyl rubons for your walls from Blik. The same place where we got our chandelier from this post.
This is where I spend countless hours a day and night.
Some of you have already received your May issue of CK. I have 2 fun articles that month that I'm very excited about! One was for CK's new column "How We Create." In it you will see the other very colorful half of this room-my scrap desk, lots of goodies and read about my creative process. It was a lot of fun to write so check it out!!

Both of my desks are from Ikea. I love my computer desk because the legs are used as shelves so you can store things in them. I scrap on their corner desk with an added extension. It was a fabulous day for my office when Ikea opened in Utah-not for my checkbook though;)! Just make sure you have patience with their instructions to put stuff together!

Where did you get your desk and chair?! Love it! I am assuming you "refinished" your chair yourself?

Hi Kay,
I added links to where I got my desks!

and yes, I got the chair at DI-a local thrift shop. I painted and covered the seat with some cute fabric. fun fun.
Thanks for asking-have a great day!

I just saw the pages in ck. Love the inspiration board. I am just letting inspiration inspire me lately....does that make sense? I guess I am just learning how to turn things that I see and like into my own style. Thanks for the helpful hints.
P.S. any advice for people entering soy?

Thanks for posting these pictures, Liz.

I was one who wanted to see your flock in action on the walls!

You must be psychic...my May issue showed up in the mail today! Loved both the articles, but especially the swapping one. That's one of my favorite parts about having scrap-friends, is the exchanging of ideas and challenge to try different techniques and looks. Wonderfully done! =)

I loved your article in ck. So cute! I was wondering if you would share where you got the little dishes/cake plate (in mag) that holds your goodies?

I know what you mean about IKEA instructions! I put together a dresser for the baby's room the other day. Took me a few hours, but at least it's cute! By the way, when are you going to post pictures of your nursery?? I need some inspiration from someone creative like you!!

While we're on the subject of furniture, would you mind sharing where you got the cabinet you're sitting on on the cover of Jan 2008CK?

Thanks so much!

What a fun workspace. Just so you don't think I am some weirdo :) I went through the rest of your blog for more decorating ideas. We are in our first house, and I didn't realize I was severely lacking in creativity with interior design!

Hi Elizabeth!

Are you going to be at CKC Mesa only on Saturday or also on Friday? I'd like to stop by and say hello, but I will only be there briefly on Saturday...
