We leave today for Collin & his dad's "Spudman" triathlon in good ole' Burley, Idaho. But first I need to go shopping and I'm not sure that Burley would fulfill those needs! If I remember right the last time I was in that raging metropolis they had one stop light. So, I need some ideas because his birthday in a couple days... what should I get this comedic, piano playing triathlete who loves PB&J's and watching late night movies when the kids go to sleep {yawn} (that's why I'm struggling to keep my eyes open) for his birthday?! I have some fun ideas but not quite sure yet.

But one thing I am sure about- Q&A are silly& happy from the start!

Gift giving can be difficult. You are so talented I am sure you could made something spectacular!!

Maybe some cute fingerpainted handprints of his prized possessions to wear in some way (t-shirt, hand towel, bottle cozie)?

When my girls were babies I let them paint using edible paints (found them in the naughty store) that way when those lil' hands went in their mouths (and you know they will) it's all OK!!!

Best of luck with your Bday shopping!!!!

What came to my mind first was a date night for the two of you to spend time together. Q and A... how cute and clever. We call our 2 and 3 year old daughters "The partners in crime."

My husband is a runner too and he really likes the Garmin GPS watch that he wears to train in. It tells you just about everything you want to know while you're running, ie. mileage, distance, calories burnt, etc. Just thought that might be something that might interest him & his sport training! Let me know if you have any questions!

Have fun this weekend - Stacey

Well, I used to enjoy reading your blog..good 'ole Burley is my home and there is more than one stoplight. Sure you can't buy everything you WANT here but we find what we NEED. And in case your not looking forward to shopping here know that there are sidewalk sales going on.

I'm from Burley too and we welcome you with open arms. Summer is soo fun here (not that Winter is bad) but to see so many people pour into the Snake River, run along side our canals, and bike the many miles few others would see if it weren't for the race, that's exciting. Come and enjoy! and yes, they are some great deals during the sidewalk sales. Especially that children's store - wink! It's the after the second stop light after Main Street!

oh goodness, not sure why my post wont come up :(

I was trying to say that my hubby loves golf too, and I got him a coupon pack that was loaded with 2 for 1 on 18 holes and 9 holes, free bucket at the driving range, 2 for 1 meals at the lunch place there... etc. Turned the coupons into a cute (ok, manly!) lil' board book and your good to go! :) That's if your hubby loves golf as much as mine!!

Have fun! Too bad your not gonna be in BOISE! ;)

A day at the rock climbing gym might be fun for your active, athletic husband???? We have them all over in SO. Cal... not sure about your area? Or is he "dangerous" enough to try sky diving? What about a hot air baloon ride for the two of you?

You should get him a night at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, which is also in Idaho (where they have the Ironman) and it's gorgeous here! But I'm biased, hee hee. Happy Birthday to Collin from a total stranger.

Maybe sticking with a gift from the "naughty store" isn't such a bad idea. What man wouldn't love that? Let your hubby unwrap YOU. Tee hee. :o)

Hey Liz, I know you've been reading the Stephanie Meyer books Eclipse Series. In my little 1 stop light town in Alaska we have a tiny bookstore that throws big bashes for popular authors new books. On the 1st we're having a Vampire Prom, I'm making my own dress and I've hired a Photographer and I was even thinking of getting a limo, but we'll see... you should see if there's anything like that going on around your town. My hubby's doing this with me for my b-day. Also, naughty stores are kind of fun. I bought my guy a bunch of stuff from Victorias Secret for his b-day, and Adam & Eve have some cool candy necklace bras and stuff, but dont look at what else they have, its pretty bad.
