some of my faves & a giveaway!

Some of my favorite stuff from CHA!

American Crafts paper, why do clouds make me happy so happy? Love their always fabulous thickers!

Scenic Route's new line came just in time since I am working on Christmas stuff for CK right now! I loved the contrast with their girly/boy paper lines.

Cosmo Cricket's new lines are so stinkin' fun! Love their wood grain paper. Why is it that I want wood grain on my pages & on my floor! I love this wood-grain rug from Pottery Barn, actually I'll take the whole office! ;)

Oldies but goodies. Just now getting my hands on the Bloom line by KI Memories. It is one of my all-time favorites! And the Martha Stewart lace border & butterfly punch!

Since I need to make room for some new supplies what better way than giving it to one of my fabulous blog readers!!

It's impossible to fit it all in the picture, trust me, this is my yummiest giveaway yet! :)

So far the best memory this summer is having my 2 year old in swimming lessons - fun times!

My favorite thing about summer was seeing my sweeties (Colin 1, Georgia 3) always smiling and having a blast every time we got in our nasty hot car (we live in Phoenix, AZ.) They still danced and sang to music even when they were dripping with sweat and had bright red cheeks. Kids are so resilient, it's beautiful.

What a yummy giveaway, thanks Elizabeth!! My favorite memory of the summer so far is watching my boys compete in the Iowa Summer Games last month in swimming and they came home with a total of 10 medals.

Oh my - radical goodies! My fav has been watching my son discover the outdoors. This is his first summer (out of the hospital anyway - he's a preemie) and watching him touch the grass and have the breeze on his face has been so fun.

There are sometimes when I don't have a camera nearby and just remember a moment...

Last week, my girls were playing in the sandbox (sitting on the edge), I was sitting beside them reading a book and overheard "That's why I like you!" Then, they hugged each other and both fell over, laughing, 4 feet sticking up in the air! A great lil moment for me to just remember...

My favorite summer memory for this summer is taking my kids to the beach for a day while visiting my Lil Sis in NC. It was just the perfect day.

OMG! Lots of comments! My fave summer memory is probably just spending Sundays with my hubby riding our bikes and having our own little picnics at the beach parks.

my favorite memory of summer so far is when we were at the beach my hubby and son found an abandoned broken boogie board. my husband got my son to play with it (he is only 5 and is just learning to swim) anyways, the joy on his face while coming into shore brings a smile to face every time I look at the picture. Luckily I was able to capture that expression. and I even scrapped a page about it too!

My favorite summer memory has to be 4th of July. Having family and friends together and seeing the kids face as we lite fireworks.

Great stuff...would love to have!
My greatest summer memory...I have lots of just little things...my daughter losing her first tooth and getting her first six year molar; watching fireworks; eating watermelon...how messy!; tenting out in the backyard with the girls...I need a camper I'm getting too old for that!; finding bird egg shells and snakes and baby bunnies in our back yard; both my daughters learning how to swim...I could go on...its just been the little things that have made this summer great!

my favorite memory so far this summer actually just happened yesterday - I decided to try golf for the first time. And I quite enjoyed it. Despite the hot humid weather, with next to no breeze, the game itself was rather fun and a good way to take your mind off things.

thanks for sharing all your creative ideas!!

This was the first summer with my 7 month old son, Parker, so we have made lots of fun memories! But I would have to say that one of the more memorable ones was when our family flew in for the 4th and we spent the whole day outside...by the pool (Parker LOVED the water!), cooking out, watching fireworks...enjoying the simple things outside!!! I took over 200 pics of Parker that day...but boy oh boy do I have some cute ones! :)

I love reading your blog Elizabeth! I have recently found it and hope to start one too soon! So fun!!! Thank you!

My fave memory from this summer was framing both my college diploma and my husband's college diploma. My husband just graduated in May, and I graduated last year. Seeing both of our diplomas framed and perfectly placed on the wall brought tears to my eyes--even my husband got choked up! (It goes without saying that I took several pics, and am scrapbooking them right now!)

My favorite memory is taking my kids to the beach. We have a very special beach we go to - - only 8 parking spots, the kids rarely play in Lake Michigan, they play in this awesome creek that runs into it! Each time we go, the stream has changed and moved. Totally awesome place to race boats, build sand castles, find rocks, rocks and more rocks and try to be engineers and re-route the path of the water. Summer is the best!!!

My favorite memory of summer.. hmmm... I think my fave was when my hubby came back (he's a firefighter here in Ca, and has had a busy year) and my boys were SO excited, they made him a banner welcoming him home (it had been 2 months) and stayed up to see him. It was SO GOOD to see him, we all just sat around catching up. It was nice!

Hopefully third time will be a charm posting this. *crosses fingers*

My favorite memory this summer was the family weekend in Arkansas for my grandpa's 83rd bday. I learned to kayak. Gave rides on my horse, Tye. Took my brother and my niece Geocaching for the first time. Went on a canoe trip. But the thing I enjoyed the most was being so far from the sounds of civilization, no planes, trains or highways to interrupt the perfection of nature.

I have 2 favorite moments: when my daughter came home from bible camp and told me that she had accepted Jesus and the second was watching her get baptized. Our whole family was there to experience the beautiful event.

I enjoy your blog so much! You are an inspiration; not only in the way you scrapbook, but the way you live your life and love your family.

Take care!

Your fun giveaway looks great!

This may seem odd, but a summer memory that will NEVER leave me from this day forward is when my sister (my one and only), her husband and 3 yr old were in a very bad car accident and ran dead on into a tree. It's been a long month but it's my choice of summer memory because the Lord spared her (a broken back that's making her life difficult to say the least, but she will recover), her husband and 3yr old. HE decided it was NOT her time and I've never loved HIM or my sister more. I cherish every second I have with her even more than I did before, although we've always been close. Everyday I praise HIM for his GRACE and MERCY and it's been made real that each day is ours to live to our fullest!

I enjoyed being in Burley and participating in the Spudman (like your husband and father-in-law). My 60-year old mom was on my team as our swimmer, our friend rode the bike and I ran in the 10K (only my second race EVER in my life!) What a great race to test my will and determination. Plus the cute kids clapping and smiling for their mom have to be the highlight.

My daughter is on the verge of becoming a teenager. Much to my dismay, she often pulls away from my little signs of affection when we're in public. I realize this is totally normal, but it still saddens me.

In June, she left home for a 20 day trip to Italy and Greece. We had prepared for the trip for many, many months before, but it was still hard to let her go. My little girl is getting older and doesn't need me as much anymore. I expected her to be even more independent when she returned home.

At the airport, I waited with anticipation as her plane landed. Had she changed? Would I even recognize her? I searched the crowd, hoping to get a glance of my eldest daughter. As she came down the escalator, she caught sight of me and we smiled. Would it be awkward reuniting in the crowd?

It wasn't. She walked toward me with tears welling in her eyes. She began to cry in earnest as she reached out and held me tight. My baby was home.

my favorite summer memory....is going out every night with my children to look at the stars. every night hoping to see a falling star. and many a times we lucked up and did! and on those nights when we did...watching them all close their eyes tight to make a wish. then hearing them all tell each other not to tell what they wished for so it will come true! i have seven children...so imagine us all out there every night. joy! summer joy. and i'll never forget sitting out under the stars with them this summer night after night.

I know it's over, and I probably can't enter anyway since I'm international, but I wanted to leave my favorite summer memory thus far. It happened just last Friday.
I have worked with a sweet special needs child for the past three summers. She's 7 now, and for her, summers are all about fun. So, we go on day trips to the zoo, science center, Heritage Park, etc. We also do great crafts (she LOVES crafts!). On our last day, she decided we should visit the lake. So we packed up our stuff (she helped me put sunscreen on my back - very cute) and headed off. As we walked toward the beach to pick our spot, she says, "You know what?"
"What?"
"I love you Kaly."
"Aww! I love you too, J!"
"You take me all sorts of places..... and you bring me snacks..."
Well, if that's all it takes to make her happy, then that's what I do!
Loved it!

I don't usually comment on people's blogs I read when I don't know them personally...always seems kind of weird to me...but in this case I felt I had something to say. My favorite summer memory occurred today when a friend of mine said she couldn't wait for school to start. And I thought to myself, "Really? I feel like summer has just barely begun!" Not that we've been doing anything fantastic, but I've really enjoyed the relatively quiet downtime with my three kiddos and the school year is always so busy for us. I don't know...I'm just not ready for school to start yet and I think that's a testament to a great summer!

That would be my favorite summer moment.
