Recently we drove up the canyon, with my sister & her family. There's something about being up in the mountains that rejuvenates me.
While we were enjoying the scenery & taking pictures in the middle of dirt & dried grass was this lush patch of clovers. I made my sister lay down to take a picture. Just like I tried to make her eat a hot dog when we were little (she's a vegetarian) but that's another story. Back to the beautiful glistening green... it was so lively & reminded me that although we all have our different trials & face tribulation...dirt... at the same time we are blessed & have lucky clovers that we can rest our head on. Mine come in the form of 2 sweet faces.

As I followed one of the local schoolbuses the other day, I was reminded how lucky I am to be able to homeschool my little girls. It is not for everyone, but for our family it allows us the extra time to spend together and to teach some of the most important things in life (which are not always academic). What a joy and blessing I have found this responsibility of parenting to be! These kits look awesome...my oldest (7 years old) is already becoming quite the scrapper! We would have such fun together.
It may sound silly, but am SO GRATEFUL

I could literally write a Blog in your comments about all the things that make me so blessed! Family, friends, faith all those of course. But also, transportation, a home, running water, food to eat. Down to the real luxuries of my life though...the ability to bath me and my family in hot water on a daily basis. Do you know how many families in Mexico or Africa do not have this luxury? Yes, it IS a luxury. How about the washing machine? I'm able to wash & wear clean clothes DAILY! Again, so many who do not have this luxury. Lastly, indoor plumbing. Need I say more? I think not. I am SOO blessed...beyond measure!!

Funny you got this prompt coz I've been thinking lately how blessed I am. I see or read of other people having to go through such difficult challenges and yet have the joy to live life, like your friend Nie Nie. I am truly thankful for my two angels! After 15 years of not being able to get pregnant, we adopted my first angel. Three years after, out of the blue thanks to my Heavenly Father, I gave birth to my second son. Yes, I am very blessed, and VERY thankful!!!
I am so blessed to have my little monkey boy! he is 4 yrs old and has Down Syndrome. When he was 3 months old he had open heart surgery to repair his AV canal defect. They left him open for 5 days to let the swelling go down and to decide if he needed a Pacemaker. When they closed him up there was no question that he did need the pacemaker. He is now our bionic boy! I love him so much and am so blessed that Heavenly Father sent us our sweet boy!
I am thankful for the little things that make everyday beautiful: bike rides, bagels and cream cheese, trips to Disneyland, naps, inspiration, The Office, paper, laughing, iPod's, etc. The little things truly add up! :)
I feel blessed for having such a wonderful husband, home, and kitties!
I feel lucky to have a wonderful family ... and will grow to four in January. We are looking forward to having a baby girl ... then our family will be complete.
I feel fortunate for some of the trials I have had lately. They have helped me to live more in the moment, to be less concerned with what others think of me, to focus on how precious my relationships are, especially with my husband and my wonderful children.
