details

It's all in the details... is a mantra I adopt in many areas of my life. From the kids' snacks in cute cups on trays, to planning Spark with Rhonna and Margie and not to mention scrapbooking. Here are some close up shots of pages from my book, "52 More Scrapbooking Challenges."

Hand cut fabric sewed to a page layered with rubons, tags, hearts & stamps.

Layering metal mesh, chipboard stars, eyelets, embroidery.

Woodland creatures layered on vintage book paper and scalloped circles

Hand embroidered title. Amy Tan gave me some fun pointers at CHA... the queen of embroidery.

Glimmer Mist & Stickles on paper with brads and gems.
One of my favorite pages from my book is this one about my Grandpa. So happy that his health is strong and he is doing better. Love him so much.
A random fun fact about me is when my grandpa sings he sounds exactly like Frank Sinatra. Yeah, I haven't bragged about that since 5th grade. hee hee.

Thanks for your emails and comments about my book. It makes me so giddy when I hear that you are enjoying it and getting inspired!

I am actually trying to strech my scrapbook creativity. I just got your book and I am doing 1 challenge a week through the next year and I only look at that challenge. I have only seen the first two pages b/c I am going to focus on one at a time. I am so excited to see where this adventure takes me!

I promised my readers I would post the results each week on my blog...that way it forces me to get creative during the week and get it done even if I have a busy week! Thank you so much for a great book FULL of wonderful ideas! I can't wait to see your new line of products and play with them! Congrats!

I think I've said this before but seriously the way that you scrapbook makes me love scrapbooking and I NEVER say that I love scrapbooking. :)

The way your layouts are done and the details just rock!

I know I don't scrapbook not beccause I don't like it but because I just know I wouldn't be good at it...it's just something I know I can't do.

But I can appreciate those that do scrapbook and their AMAZING talents in that area. KUDOS to you Liz!!!

Liz,

I just picked up/finally found your book this weekend. I special ordered it from B&N and then walked 4 stores down and found it SCREAMING my name in Jo-Anne's. I have to say that I absolutely love it. You can find me reading it everynight and I plan to put it to good use this weekend during my scrapbook marathon weekend with my sister-in-law. Great job on the book and I can't wait for future publications from you.

love the photo of you with your grandfather. my pop-pop was an incredible man who shared my love of scrapbooking - you should see his WWII scrapbooks! i've always wanted to scrap a page about how much he and i are alike and i SO wish i had a photo of just him and i!! he unexpectedly passed away this summer and i miss him dearly.

I have a complaint to make about your book. I just bought it and started marking the pages with all the layouts I liked...and I marked almost every page! Now I'm running low on page flags...lol, but seriously, I love your book and all the layouts in it! I buy CK to see your layouts so it's great to have a bigger "fix" of your scrapbooking style.

I wish I had a photo of me and my grandpa. I've looked all thru them and can't find one. He died right before my 16th birthday and it crushed my world. I still have him in my heart locked up tight tho. I that's so cool your grandpa sings like Frank, he's helped me have fun while I tidy up my house on many afternoons!
