Since I live in AZ, I love the fall because it Finally starts to cool off here! My favorite thing about this fall will be welcoming our third child into our family (I think we have close due dates - mine is 11/21)! We are so excited!!!
Oh my gosh, I think some of my new favorite things are in this post. They all look so fun! This time of the year is my favorite - from shopping for new school clothes, decorating the house in black & orange to the closeness I feel to the family during Christmas time!

My favorite thing about Fall is that my favorite flower, the sunflower is everywhere! It grows wild here where I live and I love just driving around and seeing it in random places. I also love the crisp air and cruncy leaves. Fall is my favorite season!
A recent moment I captured was our trip to the Farmer's Market. It's something so simple yet I want to remember it for years to come. It reminds me of when I was a little kid and my great aunt & I would get up early to go on Saturday mornings.

My favorite thing about fall is going to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch with the kids. The hunt for the perfect pumpkins is always the highlight!
I captured in a photo my youngest son playing with his blocks and it perfectly shows his beautiful long eyelashes and cute little hands, I love it!!
My favorite part about Fall, is the cooler temps and the beautiful leaves, pumpkins and my boys playing in the leaves oh, and picking up pecans at my parents house!!

Its so hard to catch good moments in our house, we are always running around trying to get things done, we sometimes forget how important it is to relax and spend time together. I cherish my weekends with my family because that is the only time we really have to be together without any chaos. My two little girls fight like its going out of style, so imagine my surprise when they both woke up one morning very happy and playful and were playing in their room together, laughing and having a great time, that moment I will never forget, because it is very rare!
I love the crisp weather!

LOVE these yummy kits and jewelry!! Very inspiring. Most recent moment I caught on film was when I snuck into my sons' room and found my little one sitting on his big brother's lap (granted... there is only a 3 year spread and they are almost the same size) and he was reading a chapter out of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. They were both laughing hysterical. LOVED it!!

A recent moment I captured and never want to forget was a beautiful photo of my Dog, Duke, who was diagnosed that day with terminal lymphoma. He still had the healthy looking coat, face and body. At this point, he's lost weight, his face has started to sink in a bit and he's lost some of that gorgeous shine that Golden Retrievers are known for...that picture will be the last one of him we'll ever have "pre-cancer"...and it's beautiful.
I love fall....just because I was given a pumpkin on my first date...since then fall has been my favorite...

What I love about fall is the time to spend inside doing the stuff you've been thinking about starting all summer.
I bought a can of paint to paint the ikea toy box (I bought last year) in may and this week I finally startet, today I've put on the top coat and I'm so happy it's finally done. Thanks to the rainy fall weather we have here I don't feel bed about spending indoors hours.

My fave part of fall, is when it's cooler outside, and you have the windows shut, baking something like banana bread, or choc chip cookies, and you can smell that smell inside your house all day. The leaves changing colors, and getting to wear jeans with a cute short sleeve top, or skirts and leggins, my favorite way to dress.

I will never forget when my 4 year old daughter came up to me the other day and gave me the biggest bear hug ever. It knocked me over. She looks at me and puts her chubby little hands on my face and says, "Mommy. You are the bestest mommy I ever had." It melted my heart. I thought to myself... I'm the ONLY mommy you've ever had. But still. LOVE. HER. <3

Last week my children were surrounded in the kitchen. My 22 y.o. son just arrived back from Afghanistan, from serving our country. He stood in front of the counter eating his breakfast standing up as usual. My 7 y.o. twin daughters were playing and reading in the kitchen. They each were preoccupied and I watched them in silence. Right then I had this overwhelming feeling inside of gratitude and I felt truly lucky to have my children. I know that moment will last a life time. GOD has blessed me abundance. My children turned to look at me and asked what was wrong. I could not explain, but all I can say I am so thankful to be a mother. Because I could never see myself without my children. As I write this, I am filled with joy and there is no where else I would rather be then in the kitchen with my children:)

I recently captured my husband's face (via hidden video camera) as I told him we were expecting our third child. Mind you our other two kiddos are both under the age of two. His look was a mixture of astonishment, panic and happiness along with a weary resignation to soon being outnumbered by our kids and drowning in diapers (again).

We've been teaching my grandson how to be soft with the dog and not to hit him. I caputed him petting Hurley very softly and giving him kisses on the nose, It was priceless.

Pumpkin spice lattes, sweaters, soups, using my fireplace (yes, I still use it even though I live in San Diego), family get-togethers, pumpkin patch pictures, decorating my house with fall colors, wearing boots...
Wow...great giveaway! My favorite fall memory is my family's annual trip to Apple Hill, CA. I've been going since I was a child and now I take my children. We drive miles and miles through gorgeous scenery looking at all the orchards, stopping at our favorite farms to pick apples, eat handmade fudge and sample PIE!! It is the highlight of the season!
Scarves. Stepping on crunchy leaves. Yams with lots of marshmallows at Thanksgiving. Fall is fantastic.
One of my favorite things about the fall season is waiting for the leaves to change in the forest at the local mountain - the hikes become infinitely more beautiful with some gold, orange and red in the trees. =)

My husband recently bought my 21 month old some Elmo panties and she was so excited that she had to put them on (over her diaper, of course).. but she didn't want just one pair on, she needed three pair on! She wore them the rest of the night. When I came home the next day, she had four pair on over some bright teal leggins.. I got some great pics, but I wish I would have thrown her red cape on b/c she was sportin' the Nacho Libre look!! lol

A favorite recent photo was of my daughter's potty chair outside in the grass (she likes it to be where she is for easy access and hey, whatever gets her out of diapers works for me).

The beginning of school, the start of LSU football season, not sweating while drinking my coffee. Drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway, maple trees, and piles of leaves. Hiking, running in the afternoons instead of when the sun goes down, and the crisp cool mornings. The great harvest moon yellow and low in the sky. But above all, falling back and gaining an hour of sleep.

Hmmmm....a moment I recently captured? I guess it would have to be one of DH walking with our little nephew. Since we live 8 hours away--we don't see this little one that often----yet, since birth, he has displayed this love and connection to my DH. WHen they came to visit this summer--he just couldn't get enough of his uncle--laughing and playing and just gazing up at my DH the entire visit! THis one picture shows my husband walking and our nephew following his movements exactly. Watching DH interact with our nephew--I always glimpse the wonderful, patient, loving father he would have been--if we had been able to bear children. Ah...but sometimes life has other plans for you.... Anyway--I cherish the times we spend with our nephew and my heart swells to watch the special relationship between my DH and my nephew.

My favorite thing about fall is that first sunny cold, crisp day with the leaves bathed in color. It's the promise of family holidays when everyone comes home to stay a while.
Something I captured recently was when my almost 2-year-old son was attempting to attack our cat and ended up getting stuck behind the couch. Once I giggled, he found it hilarious as well that he managed to jam himself in a 3 inch area. I'm so glad he was able to stay put until I got the camera, snagged a shot, then dragged him out. :)
What's not to love? The beautiful colors, the excitement of change, college football, honestly I love it all.
My 3 year old and 6 year old are really into us taking pictures with mommy. It melts my heart that they want to be in the pics with me!

My favorite thing about fall is that it is a cozy season. We are indoors more--more cozy cuddling and more cozy fires. The temperatures drop--more cozy sweaters and tights! It's probably my favorite time of year.

We were lying in bed one morning and my husband and I hear our son get up from him bed and walk into our room, blanket in tow. My husband plops him in between us, hoping he would go back to sleep. Something I want to capture forever happened just this week. As my 3 yr old was getting settled into bed and ready for story time, I wanted to quiz my little one so I asked "Nathan, who is our creator?" His answer was "Red, Brian says Red Sox". He said it with such a straight face so sincere and serious, it was just one of those pure cute moments that makes your heart full and your face smile. And we live in Arizona, so I LOVE fall because after sweltering super summer temperatures, the cool air is fresh to breath and crisp on the skin, it embodies a NEW season that we really welcome here!

My recently captured moment is the photo of my husband on the floor with our newest grandson's pacifier in his mouth, with that grandson laying next to him with that look of "hey! that's mine, isn't it???" on his face. I love watching my guy interact with our grandchildren - his joy is almost tangible!
One of my fav things about fall is hearing the marching band at the high school down the road, performing/practicing at night. The cool night air carries the sound to our open windows ... love it!
I don't want to forget the great anniversary dinner my hubs and I made for the daughter and s-i-l last night. After dinner and dessert, we played a mean game of Scrabble. It was FUN.
My too cute for words son was born on October 2nd. He is my favorite thing in the world (fall). I also love driving up the canyon to see the beatiful fall colors. Utah is gorgeous in the fall, well, always.
Autumn is my favorite season because the colors of nature (although I live in town) but because it is the beginning of a new cycle in our lives. And I still believe, despite everything, the best is ahead!
Fave recent shot was a sailboat on the lake. We got right beside it and it was beautiful. I love watching sailboats, they are so peaceful. Fave thing about fall absolutely the colors of the changing leaves. Nothing like a drive to the mountains to see the foliage. All the sweet goodies are a close second.
My two year old dumping every board game that I own in the living room and mixing them altogether. Yes, that's Dora Concentration, Dora Candyland, Hannah Montana Monopology, Disney Yahtzee . . . Yes, where was mom, three feet away scrapping. Never heard or saw any of it until I started hearing her sing, "Clean up time, Clean up time . . ."
Hi Lizzy! Captured a "be spontaneous" moment with the kids. My almost 4 year old daughter, Elsie is completely taken with Olivia these days. While reading an Olivia book for the 100th night in a row she asked, "Mommy I want to try a cream cheese, pickle and raisin sandwich like Olivia!" I said, "Why not!" We made one the next day for lunch and they ate it! you can see the post on www.wirefamily.blogspot.com I want them to remember that their perfectionist, planned out mommy is a little spontanenous sometimes.

I love the way the trees put on their new "clothes" even if they know it is only for a short time before they all will look the same. I love the smell of cinnamon and baking.

last week I had a chatting walk around our little town with my four veryvery best friends. it was raining pretty hard and we had two umbrellas only, so we had to share them. though i was cold and wet all over, I felt so happy and I was so proud I have those indescribably marvellous girls in my life!
and when we went to a coffee shop after that to eat the best cheesecake ever, I realized that moments like this are what the fall is invented for! :)

My favorite thing about this fall season in particular is getting ready for our very first little baby girl to arrive! I have been busy sewing some crib bedding and getting everything ready in her room. There has also been a battle to decide on the name going on for months...it's all so exciting!
Oh, and I love the fall weather and maple trees with all of the leaves a different shade or orange and red. :)

My favorite moment that I have captured recently was just an ordinary day with my 3 year old little guy. He worked very hard on a castle, so I took a pic of him with his creation. His arms outstretched and a big smile. Of course, I caught the next moment which was the destruction of the castle.

i recently went through a bunch of short video clips of my boy as a newborn, so I've been toting the camcorder ALL the time. I love the tired giggles and muffled babbles, the yelling echoes, and especially the cheesy grins of a full belly :)
As for fall... I love FOOD! Pumpkin, cinnamon, and cream cheese. Mmmm

I took a photo of my husband reading to our 2 months old last night. He was reading him the story of Tim Horton. Which I think my husband veiws as an important part of Canadian history, lol. What could be more important to an infant than hockey, coffee, and dough-nuts? Well, "lattes" for one.....

Recently I was photographing both of my boys in front of their schools with a sign stating their grade. Well, my 1st grader took my 6th grader's sign, climbed up on the middle school sign and said "take my picture, mommy" and I did! My precious little boy---stealing a moment of being a big kid, like his brother!

I took pictures last night with the timer on my camera of my daughter and I having our first official "girls' night in." We painted a tea set, watched a Disney princess movie, read a book and snuggled on the couch in our jammies!
My favorite thing about fall? Well honestly I'm such a lover of spring and summer that fall isn't my favorite season, but my favorite thing about fall (if it's gonna be fall) is that we go to this great apple farm (usually w/ the same friends every yr) where you can pick apples, and we got hot cocoa, and they serve apple crisp (which my husband purposely calls "apple betty" because that drives me crazy) and who doesn't love hot sugared doughnuts. MMMM. I also love that the season fosters this desire to make soups, sauces, stews, and I do love to cook. And taking the kids to this park with hundreds of trees and jumping in piles of orange and yellow colored leaves (and photographing it) is great. One more fav (oh no! Now it's sounding like I'm an actual fan of fall!) is my daughter's favorite fall tradition, that is, watching "The Wizard of Boz [Oz]"
I took pictures of my nephew driving a tractor at the parade...day off school, loving life as he rides along...days that pass to quickly.

Your piano is lovely! What I adore about fall is the crisp air where everything just looks beautiful with colorful leaves and thoughts of Halloween in the back of your mind. I love Halloween and everything about it, from the sweets to the decorating and most importantly dressing up!

It's hard sometimes to choose a favorite thing about the fall season when it has been so darned cold here in Canada! Some years, summer runs well into fall, but apparently not this year.
However, I always enjoy the fall colors. And I love the way my little guy's wee hoodie looks on him when we go outside to play. So cute.
