When the weather gets cool enough to bake all those yummy treats. The smell of hot apple cider and the crunchy leaves. Most of all I love how my 5 yr old son snuck frosting and colored pencils in his bed. When i went to tuck him in he slid alittle and then crunch crunch.. i lifted the covers to see his hand in the frosting and 50 colored pencils under his tushy :) got love it ..

This is the giveaway for me!!!! I just captured the best moment and I was so proud of myself. I normally forget to take my camera with me and miss many things! My daughter was taking a few steps and I knew that crawling would soon come to an end! I happened to capture her crawling on the beach which was even better! She was so cute crawling because she would put her head down and try to go faster!!!! Those days are gone now, she is almost running already and I'm am so happy that I was able to get it on film!!!

Taking a walk, crunching through leaves, holding a kid's hand and smelling the smoke from fires in the neighbors' houses. Seeing everyone so cozy in their homes and knowing I'm heading to my cozy home just embodies fall for me.

A memory, that maybe I wouldn't be quite likely to forget, but still want to remember because it makes me laugh now!
Just the other moring, when I was laying in bed... I heard my two sons coming up the stairs... I heard my oldest son (who is 4 1/2) say to his little brother (almost 2) "Now your hair looks just like mine!" I tried to mentally prepare myself for what I just heard.. And then for the proud but a bit apprehensive look on my older son's face when he walked in the room holding his brothers hand... Yes, he had chopped all of his little brothers curly blond hair off! I did cry. but now that it is short, I love it and he looks so grown up and more boy now!!! I just don't want to forget the innocence of my children and the hilarious things they do in life that keep us on our toes!!! I love them soo much!

Moment Captured:
Recently I went through a diffiult loss. Soon after my loss, a dear friend planted some beautiful flowers in the planter box of my mailbox. I'm not a green thumb though, and they didn't last long. I've been meaning to rip them out for weeks now, but just yesterday noticed something. There was new life in my planter box, new leaves and blossoms had sprung up among the dead ones, with no help from myself. I captered a picture of those blossoms today - a sign of hope to me, of new life & new blessings ahead.

One unforgettably special moment captured in a photo that I would like to share was taken by a friend of mine. It was a candid shot of me and my high school sweetheart slow dancing during a high school dance. We have both married other people since that night years ago, but there is something precious about the memories the picture brings back; the innocence and the simplicity.

Bring on the weinie roasts and pull out the favorite sweaters; I love love love this time of year. It is so hard to choose what I love most about this time of year, but roasting hot dogs and smores with my kiddos over an open fire out in the beautiful fall country is pretty hard to top! That makes me smile :)

Finding my 21 month old daughter, Harper, behind the couch "cuddling" with our new dog.
She was just given to us last week and is still getting used to our family of 8!
By the way, the dog already had a name when she was given to us-Lizzy!
