cookie confession

Let me just start with a confession about how I've been tremendously unambitious lately. To the point of sheer boredom. ha. No scrapbooking or crafting. In fact, the closest I've gotten to anything remotely creative was unfolding a perfectly neat pile of fabric to start on a quilt, only to fold the pieces back up into a much less pretty pile.
Although we did manage to make some cookies today... that should count for something right? And we had no problem eating them up too. Surely there's something creative to be said for that. heeheee. ;)

But tomorrow's a new day and there's something in the air this brisk, fall night that has me anxious to design with the new Dear Lizzy Christmas & Enchanted lines.

Actually, this is the opportune time to test my cure for a creative rut checklist. I'll let you know how that goes...

I think you just need a spark to ignite your creativity once again! Those cookies would be great with a glass of milk...yum!

Oh, those cookies look yummy. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had creative blocks while immensely pregnant ;D Of course, mine lasted two years - pregnancy and the fog that is your life for the next year!

hun...if it's any consolation, I felt exactly the same way when I was pregnant with my second. I went from going nuts over scrapbooking, to not interested at all. At the time it was upsetting but I am happy to say inspiration does come back.
In the meanwhile, use this opportunity to pamper and love on yourself.

Great pics as always :)

The cookies look good! I have had the opposite problem- plenty of craftiness, no desire to cook.

I love your blog! Do you create a lot of your clothes or do you buy them because I really like them. :)

I've totally been feeling the same way lately. I'll sit at my desk and stare at all my stuff, move things around, and still nothing. I'm having a hard time getting inspired lately, which is very unusal for me :(

Those cookies look divine, darn it I am trying to lose 5 lbs. and now I want cookies! Love to make chocolate/butterscotch chip cookies, hope your creativity comes back, we all get in the slump once in a while, you must be tired, your body is creating another miracle, it's ok to feel like doing nothing.

Cookies stacked in a tea cup are pretty creative! You need to do what you feel like and enjoy the last weeks before the baby!
