in the wee hours

As I continue to put together Lola's nursery I know I'll be spending lots of time in it so I want to make sure it was filled with things I love.
I'm almost finished with the frames on one of the walls. I need to add some photos. But one of the frames already hanging that makes me happy during those wee hours of the morning is pictured above.

I cut a page from one of my favorite books by Compendium called "She... " It's an inspiring gift book that would make a great present to any mother, sister or friend. But make sure to get one for yourself--or two if you cut it apart like me. :)

"She went out on a limb had it break off behind her and discovered she could fly. Celebrate her faith."

Beautiful! I'd LOVE more pics. We're getting ready to do the nursery for our second girl with turquoise walls and I'm looking all over for inspiration. I love the owl too - unfortunately she doesn't have any listed. :(

Sugar,spice and ooooh so nice:)
Great room for daydreamin too.

I have another one for you if you are interested. It works well with a blackboard too if you don't want to be changing out the picture frame.
"If you are happy and you know it...
(her sisters offer the answer till she's old enough to add her own)
Date the back of the page and feel free to change them out. Keeping them forever is a must!

My older children tended to "mark" their territory in the baby room when the eagerly awaited new one arrived. Sneaky little crayon bandit proudly announced the "green dirt" once done. This gives them a wee bit of something to say and be a part of the "baby room" and excitement surronding it.

It's early now, you are probably all alone with your sweet little one. I always loved this time with the baby. No sharing and the house is quiet. Sweet dreams to you.

Elizabeth, I am a huge fan of yours, but I haven't taken much time to comment. I have your book, and my sister and I can just type E and know that we are referring to you! I LOVE this sneak of the nursery. It is soooo cute! I love that quote too. Hope we'll get to see more. Congratulations on your new baby girl. I have 2 girls and just love it.

I love this- you are so inspiring. Do you think you could post more photos of the nursery? I would really love to see it all. I love following your blog - it inspires me so many ways: as a wife, a mommy, and a crafter. You are an amazing mommy- it truly inspires me as a mommy to see all of the activities you do with your kids. I love it!

Such a great idea to frame the pages of the book - ordered 2 copies to do just that - one for me and one for cutting. May I ask where you got the white frames? I went to Michael's today and the ones they had there were not so cute. Thanks.

That book is one of my all time favorites and I am planning to do something similar to what you have done here. I am so glad I found your site today to get some inspiration. I also think I will give that gift to my mother for a Christmas present. I am planning to tell her about a big decision in my life which I know may be hard for her to understand, but I think the book will help her to support her free spirited daughter!

Love you site!
