just an idea

I could go on & on about how darling this baby is and how fast she is growing. How I can't believe how big she is or how when she sees me she does this little laugh while taking a breath in to make the sweetest sound.
I could go on & on but I want to sum up how I feel with one simple word: overwhelming blessed and full of light. Okay, that is 6 words. ha.
I'm not saying my life is perfect. I have trials, worries, tough days. But I also have great days.
The thing I am trying to get to is, I want to give to someone in a small, but meaningful way and I am hoping you will help me. Collin and I have been brainstorming what we could do and I thought of a couple things.
The first one is that I would love to make a memory book for someone special. An album for someone full of their photos and memories.
The pages will be made by you, me and anyone who wants to contribute. The book will be made to lift someone's spirits so if you know someone who needs this please email me. EDITED::: Please hold off on emailing me because I'm sitting here in tears reading your emails and I think we have lots of albums to make already. :)
Then I will need your help to fill the album with their photos and memories to add a needed light to that person's life.
Lately, I have been wishing that I had more time to scrapbook. I love this hobby. Not just because it is fun, or because the people I have met, or the supplies I hoard ;), but mostly because the feeling that I get when I look through my pages that overflow with life. Or see the girls faces light up when they look through their albums. Sometimes when we want time for something for ourselves first we should give that to others.
I'm really tired. My eyes are so tired I can hardly read this... so I hope this makes sense and I hope you will join me in making an album for someone because I can't do it on my own. :) And the only way I will be able to repay you is with a cyber hug or some baby photos.
Oh, she is such a darling.

Thanks and night night!

I would love to take part in making an album for someone who needs a lift.

I will myself be creating layouts for my grandmother's memorial service this July. She passed away this past year, a week before Christmas. Because a lot of the family had to return to their homes, it was decided that we would celebrate her life, in Albuquerque, this Summer. My mom was going to take the responsibility of creating these layouts, but I know that emotionally it would be difficult for her. I told her I would do it.

It's a beautiful idea.

I was asked in Feburary, but I learned the son of the grandmother had a very hard time releasing the photos. I met with him and reasured him I'm am very careful and respectful. I just got the photos in my hand 1 week ago. I did do an amazing job of it. I know that these photos are of a ladies life and family - so precious.

such a cutie pie! I had my third kiddo 7 months ago...and I have to say I haven't scrapped since! I think there is something about 3 that I have reached my limit on free time...well that is not spent sleeping. I keep taking pictures and blogging, but just haven't gotten to scraping. I am thinking about going more digitel and seeing if that will help get the ol' scrapin' mojo going!

that is T*R*U*L*Y a gift you will be giving someone...

i know someone in town that would feel so blessed by this gift.

she has 3 children and the two older ones have life-threatening handicaps. the 2nd child has serious issues that need round the clock care... many, many issues i will not get into right now.

this woman struggles not only with ill children, but with a huge financial strain due to insurmountable medical bills. she is such a sweet, smiling, upbeat person. always looking to help others. you would never know that she has all these worries to look at her and talk to her. she faces these issues with a smile and strong faith. her children are loved and adored by her... it is hard to know that the problems with these children will NEVER go away! not even for a minute. they more than likely will become sicker... yet she does what she has to and does it with a smile and concern for other!

i would LOVE to give her the gift of you... you giveing her a gift that would mean the world. and a gift that she may never have time to do herself!

thank you liz, for this gift...no matter who receives it!

xoxo

Okay this is a request:
I'd like to see a picture of Collin as a baby side by side with one of Lola. I suspect your little angel gets her cutest little baby face from her Daddy.
Love the scrapbook idea.
I have given a few scrapbooks with pages pre done by me for baby shower gifts. They are always so appreciated by the Mommies. I can't take credit for it. My husband had the idea when he had me do it for a colleague. I thought it would be too personal.
It was, which is why she loved it so. I only had one picture to use. Daddy and his new son, taken on the day he was born at the hospital.
You've got a winning and heartfelt idea here. The kind that will ripple. We all know someone we can share the love with.
I'm gonna do a small doggie book for my best friend. She emailed me some pictures this week of her "Petunia" puppy. Trust me, it's the little moments of love you share that add to a lifetime of feeling loved.
Heartfelt hugs to you Lizzy :)
I love you caring HEART !

I think Patty has your winner for this loving gift. She has my vote!
I don't have that many pictures of my own children. We did not have extra money for that type of expense. I love digital for this reason above all... it's affordable. I'll be happy to do PAGES!!! Let me know the size of the album. I watch my grandson during the week and he was just one. I haven't scrapped on page since he was born. I do take hundreds of pictures a week and I have a private family blog I post to where his family all over can see him grow. My daughter in law started her blog before her son was born and it is a joy beyond measure. To this day I can go back and watch it all from beginning to end. I started my blog because I knew how much his Grandma would love it too. I whole heartedly encourage all of you to do this, you won't regret it. Make it private to protect your photos if you have concerns.

I have the perfect family to nominate;)
They are sweet friends of ours. The husband/father selflessly serves in the Air Force. They already had three beautiful daughters, ages 6,3, and 2. They recently gave birth to a son who has was born with heart complications. They have to travel back and forth to the hospital in Texas (they live in OKC). They are beautiful on the inside and out and love the Lord with all their heart. But they are busy, very busy and have their hands full. THey would love and cherish such a present. You can see their story Here:

I know how a bursting heart from gratefulness can lead you to such an endeavor to give back in a small way and...it turns into a BIG way. Your light definitely shines through in this gesture and I'm sure the lucky person to receive the gift will be uplifted in more than one way. I know if I need to be lifted I give something special and it is so much better than being on the receiving end. However, I do have some really amazing people in my life who will shoot me a quick message just at the right time and that means more than anything I can even imagine.

oxox to your sweet family!

If you need a youth to scrapbook for, we have a 17 year old in our ward who has cancer, it is non-curable, and she has 6 other siblings and all have been home schooled. They were planning on a trip to Disney World (from the make a wish foundation) just this weekend, when they found another tumor..so this may have to be postponed. Looks like you have alot of ideas already. Just wanted to put this sweet youth in our YW's out there.
Love you and your sweet Family, and Blog!!

Maryn Nicole Cella 2005 ~ 2011 Maryn Nicole Cella, Age 5 - From the heartbroken, loving arms of her mother into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, our sweet, beautiful and beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, student and friend, Maryn Nicole Cella passed away January 25, 2011 peacefully surrounded by her family and friends, following a courageous 19 month battle with a rare and terminal form of brain cancer (DIPG). Born on October 20, 2005 in Sandy, Utah. She was a pillar of light and love, and touched the lives of many people all over the world. She was a beacon of inspiration and happiness, though her days were numbered. Maryn came into the world like a lamb, quiet, peaceful and happy. She grew into a playful, happy child who loved to play with her friends and sisters, dance ballet, read books, play piano and play outside. She loved to paint and draw and most of all loved her dollies and her stuffed animals. She brought happiness to so many people and fulfillment and meaning to her mother's life. She and her mother were inseparable from the day she was born. They loved each other deeply and together bravely fought the disease that eventually took her life. Maryn also loved her daddy very much. They spent many days making special memories together. She will be deeply missed. Maryn is survived by her mother, Annette Cella; father, Travis Cella (Wannisa); sisters, Olivia (14) Moriah (10), half-brother, Alex and step-sister Sara; grandparents, Gerald and Margaret Bowen, Ron and Judy Cella, as well as many aunts, uncles and extended family. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11800 South 300 East, Draper. Friends may visit Sunday night, January 30, 2011 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Holy Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy. Arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.starksfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mountain America Credit Union under the name Maryn N. Cella. Maryn's story may be read at www.marynshope.blogspot.com My sweet baby girl, I love you to the moon, the sun, around the planets and back again, forever and ever. Save a place for me. I'll be there soon. May Jesus hold you in his loving arms until we are reunited. I miss you saying "mommy, holdie me." Love, Mommy.

Either a book for the family to preserve her memory or if you'd be willing to auction your services there is a fundraising blog to help offset the medical expenses this poor family is left with on top of everything else.

, I'd like to add a 'nominee' for the album you were going to make for someone who needs their spirits lifted.. I know this was ages ago but I feel like I need to at least put my friends name forward :)

As you may,or may not know, on Feb 22nd my city was struck by a severe earthquake (oh, I live in Christchurch,NZ) anywho, to cut things short, one of my good old school friends and now work mates,Lizzy, ended up losing her mum in a building in my towns CBD. It was gut-wrenching watching at the side lines as this unfolded in her life.. she's now back at work, and moving on with her life but I have known her since we started high school and I know that her and her mum didn't have the best relationship til about the start of this year when Lizzy moved back in with her mum and brother and they started to patch things up. She is such a strong, proud girl who doesn't like to show emotion often, but seeing her cry for the first time since I've known her just makes me want to give her the world!
