My friend Jamie is a Stampin' Up demonstrator slash creative genius who sent me her inaugural
scrapbooking kit, and all I have to say is ah-ah-awesome! I love the colors, the paper, the embellies, the whole thing! I had a total blast putting together this mini-album for my little Q-Bear! The chocolate & pink papers are so versatile & worked perfectly with her photos. I started by cutting some chipboard into 3 1/4"x 8" pieces with a total of 7 pages. I covered each page front and back with the yummy papers.
PS I've gotten a lot of questions about blurb and how it's not working with blogger... which is so weird because a couple days before I did that blog post I started my book & I use blogger. Hmmm. I wonder what's up with that? I will look into it. :)

My favorite part was adding the ruffled ribbon to the edges. Using my sewing machine, I stitched a loose line across the middle of the ribbon, gathered it a bit, then secured it down with some glue dots at the end of 4 of the 7 pages.
The "giggle" text and other cute words are actually stamps from a really cute Stampin' Up set (call Jamie for some help with that;)
Once I finished the pages, I whipped out my trusty Bind-it-All to quickly turn my pages into an album. (Which is now available in pink, but I can't justify having 2... yet!) Oh Bind-it-All...what would I do without you?
If you want to make an album like mine or get your hands on all this yummy goodness, check out Jamie's (new) site here!
To start her venture off right, we're giving one of these fabulous kits away! Leave a comment with the Trick-or-Treat candy you would never trade as a kid...or the candy you'll sneak out of your kid's bag...mmmm...Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I'll choose a winner in a couple days.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 487 of 487Call me silly but Kit-Kats are my ALL time Fav candy!! Keep your hands off..it's mine for sure!! Plain and simple is what I like. I'll trade anything for those darn kit-kats!!
Love this kit. I would not trade Twix & I would totally sneak them from my boys' stash now :D
I will be searching for the flavored tootsie rolls. Like cherry, and grape!! I bet they don't have them. I can only find them at big candy stores now days. Anna will have to live without her jolly ranchers this year. YUMMMMM!!
Reese cups, whoopers and sixlets. I would eat those before i get home because my brother would steal them from me.
Hehehe!
Naomi
If I see twix I grab those cause they don't seem to stay around long. love them.
Love the cute set! As a kid I'd always hide the tootsie rolls!
Funny story...
In an effort to encourage oral and physical health, the orthodontist I work for has a "Candy Buy Back" promotion we do every year after Halloween. Patients can bring in their halloween loot and we pay them $1 for every pound of candy. It's a huge success every year! The candy is then donated to the Blood Bank of Alaska (they give donors something sweet to eat to restore their blood sugar levels after their blood is drawn!) BUT, before the loads of candy are carted off to the worthy cause, my co-workers and I raid the stash for our favorites. I usually go for the Nerds or Butterfingers... or both :)
Adorable mini-album for an adorable baby! My fave halloween candy seems to only be available during halloween so I have to stock up. It is the Mary Jane peanut butter filled peanut butter taffy. It kills my jaw after about two or three but they are so good I can't stop eating them!
I will never part with my DOVE Albany chocolates...love your album so cute and pink!
Bit-O-Honey would be mine!!! Yummo!!! thanks for the chance to win.
It would have to be M & M's. I still love 'em! JodieR
Oh, I am with you on the Reeses. Yummy!
GORGEOUS album :D
I would NEVER trade my Reeses PB Cups.. still don't!!
I agree w/ you...my fave is the reese's peanut butter cups, the best!!
mmmm...couldn't live without those Butterfinger candy bars. I would trade ANYTHING from my treat bag for those.

Love that book!!!
To this day (and when I was younger), I will confiscate and not share Bottle Caps! Weird choice huh?
I will steal my kids' Snickers bars. I'd love to 'steal' this sweet kit from you too.... bwahahahahahah!
Happy Halloweeen :I
adorable book! It's gotta be the M&M's!
What an adorable kit!! NO One but me is getting those Butterfingers!! Yum!
My husband and I always make out on Halloween. Our poor little one can't have chocolate. So, we get all the best out of her loot!
Hands down...Reese's peanut butter cups!!
I rarely gave up any of my chocolate candy...snickers, rolos, twix...mmmm, chocolate is a girl's best friend! :) Thanks Elizabeth!
The one thing I would never trade as a kid were these deliciously huge, brilliant red, delectable, juicy homemade candy apples. There was one lady in our neighbourhood who made them, and they were coveted. It breaks my heart that in today's world, homemade treats like this aren't safe.
So I guess, I will be sneaking twix and reese peanut butter cups out of my kids bags!

Always look for DOTS. They are my addiction.
I love Reese PB cups, especially the white chocolate ones, and Hershey's Miniatures Special Dark. Those are always the last to go in the miniatures mix of flavors, so it works for me!!

ooo what a darling album!
I"ll be sneaking all the mounds and almond joys out of the bags... can't get enough!
I would never, ever, ever in a million years give away mini Starburst packets!!
Love the album!!! I do sneak out of my kids hallowen treat bags any peanut butter cups I can find and 3musketeers minis, I can't get enough of those!! he,he,he
The candy that always finds it's way out of my kids bags are...reeces pieces, peanutbutter cups, m n m's, snickers, well, pretty much any chocolate..and the only candy i won't trade is candy corn! it's mine! all mine! ( mostly because no one else likes it)
One of my most favorite is Kit Kats!!!
That album is so cute. I bought some wires for the Bind-it-all, and just used my Crop-o-dile to make holes instead and it worked out pretty well...I'll share a pic on my blog tomorrow, when I finish!
And Twix...can you tell I love chocolate stuff?
I sneak out Snickers! Always have, and always will! :) Although the mini-sized Plah Doh is extra fun as well!
The book is beautiful-I love it! I am inspired too.
Thanks! :)
Gorgeous mini book! The colors are so pretty. I especially love the ribbon ruffles!
As for candy, as a kid I would never trade M&M's. Currently, I snitch the Twix candy bars, although the last few years my kids just handed them right to me :)
I'll trade you my caramel/creme chews and mary janes for your Reese's cups & Twix!!
Ooooh! Milk duds - - yummy. I just can't believe they can only fit 4 little pieces in that box!!
Love the mini album!! The pink & brown are so pretty!
I pretty much liked everything as a kid...and still do, but I LOVE when my kids get Butterfingers and/or Heath Bars - yummy!
I can't believe all of the comments, if I'd be so lucky it'd be amazing!

definitely not the candy in the black & orange wrapping that looks like salt water taffy... what a sham! i would never trade my "big" candy bars... those were like gold! {espesh since i usually went out of my way to go to a house that hands out the big candy bars! ha ha!}
I would never even think of trading an Aero Bar and yes I have been know to Sneak a few from my kids stuff!
Just cannot trade the Reese's pieces. I love the book!!!
De Anne B.
I'm not a huge candy eater but i always crave Reese's Peanut Butter Cups around Halloween because they were my favorite trick or treat item growing up. thanks for doing the give-away!
I love the generic chocolate with peanut butter coin/balls. I love reese's but for some reason the nastolgia of the generic gets me. In fact I just snuck one out of both of my kids bags! He he don't tell them!
I'm with you! Those peanut butter cups are mine! Love the oh so pink kit. Thanks for the chance to win. Toni W.
i would hoard anything chocolate!... but i would hoard all of my candy... the sharing concept was beyond my little nine year old brain. :)
this kit is very adorable. thanks for giving us the chance to making something wonderfully pink!
I am commenting for my totally awesome sis in law who inspires me every day. she is having baby girl #2 and is not quite sure what she is going to do with all of the pink in her life. I think some chocolate would do the trick!
I would never give up the cheap pink gum...i know it looses flavor in like 2 seconds, but i love it! (and it only tastes good on Halloween)
My fab sis in law does not give up Frooities. Esp the Grape ones.
I always try to sneak the milky ways away from my girls and luckily enough, my twin 1 year olds can't eat any of it so I can have them all!!! Insert evil laugh here!!
Oh my word! You have a lot of comments...don't know if you can possibly read them all but if you can you may be up for a quick challenge. Please check out my blog for rules. It's quick and easy I promise!
Ooh! that a hard one what with snickers, reeses and kit kat but I would have to choose Twix bars. And then I would freeze them, so yummy!
OOh - pretty kit!!
I loved (and still love) Mars bars...
I would never give up my Snickers! I am just glad that one of my girls doesn't like nuts. Lucky Me!
Thanks for the opportunity to win this darling kit! It would be so cute for my twin girls!
Your amazing!
Lori C.
Oh, your album is beautiful! She'll LOVE that.
Blurb doesn't use Xanga either, which is where I have TWO years of blogs before I switched to Blogger. That's a LOT of copying/pasting, but I may do it anyway just to have one of those awesome books!
Hmm....trick-or-treat candy that I'd NEVER give up? Pretty much anything chocolate! Snickers, Milky Way, Milk Duds, Nestle Crunch...I'd trade anything else for one of those! :)
that is such a cute album!
chips (unless they were sour cream and onion).
Kit Kats! The "fun-size" were always the two bars (vs. the longer full sized four bars) and man, oh man, I remember those were the first ones I pick out and if I had to, will trade 5 chocolate bars for one Kit Kat. Yup, I had a Kit Kat addiction.
That would have to be Necco wafers(except the pink Pepto-Bismol flavored ones) and tootsie roll pops- cause how else would I know how many licks it takes to get to the center??? Happy Halloween!
Twix mini bars....yum ! ! !
Robyn in Idaho
I've already warned my girls, PB cups and Smarties are for MOMMY! :)
I love this kit and I love that you have giveaways! Thanks for all your inspiration. I have 3 boys and finally a girl- wahoo!
I loved candy corn as a girl and fun dip!!!!!!! Now, my kids have to hide all chocolate-esp. peanut butter cups!
I Love Stampin' Up! Way to go with this Adorable kit!!
I actually buy myself a bag (Yes, I said a whole bag) of ALMOND JOY!! Cause they've got nuts & Mounds don't! Ha ha! I will snag any new candy out of my kids bags to try it - they don't know what it is anyway. But Almond Joy is definately my fave!!
It's sure been awhile since I have left a comment!!
Totally stealing ALL the chocolate from my girl's bag... haha. BUT I just can't ever get enough of REESES PB CUPS too!!! Mmmm. And with the combo of a seriously chilled glass of milk - it's perfection!
What a super cute mini book, but what else would I expect from you? :)
Snickers would have to have been my favorite.
If Red Vines came in the small give-away sizes, then I'd probably have had to have chosen them!
What a beautiful album!!! I've got to get myself a bind-it-all!
As for Hallowe'en candy: mini Mars bars and Rockets-those are addictive!
Happy Hallowe'en!!
While my kids are away I sneak the Butterfingers and the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, or anything I can find with some chocolate.:)
I don't really like candy, but I can tolerate Kit Kats. They would have to be the ones I like the most.
Wow, I'd love to win that kit! I have 2 girls too, so this would be perfect for me! :)
Let's see, I will definitely be getting all of the Almond Joy & jawbreakers outta the girls' bags. And lucky for me, I'm the only one that likes, or can eat either! So no competition!!
oh Elizabeth! such an adorable album, I;m sure Quincey will treasure that when she grows up! *sigh* you're packed full with talent my dear... and i'm with you on the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Those are for me, and me alone :D heeeheee...
Send my hugs to the girls okay? and a few hundred for you too.
Oh I love this kit!!! I would never trade my whoppers!!! I love the chocolate goodness mixed with that malt middle.mmmmmm Now I'm hungry. Well I would love to win this thanks for doing some amazing give aways!!!!

Wow! Totally cute kit and I know I am only the 468th person that wants to win it! I loved sugar babies/dadies when I was younger and those were my prized halloween candies. I wish I had kids so I could sneak some good candy!
Reese's PB cups without a doubt!
Okay its candy do you really want to give any of it away!!! :^) But if I have to choose just one i would say my fav is Peanut Butter Cups, just can't get enough of those. Thanks for the great give a way love the colors eventhough i only have boys.
AmyM
Always the Peanut Butter Cups!!!
I love Kit Kat Bars. There is a certain way I need to eat them or else it is never the same. My 2 and a half year old would never know if I swiped them from her. She can have her Skittles!
OMgosh, that kit is ADORABLE!! I lvoe the 'punch' of orange thrown in....fabulous! And I've decided it's definitely time to buy a Bind-it-all!! What an adorable album!
I would never trade Smarties, though my dad would 'confiscate' the ones where 'the wrapper was a little loose'....very suspicious ;)
anything with chocolate...LOL
What a yummy kit!!! Almost as yummy as Bottle Caps, which I always kept for myself as a kid :)
Just like this yummy chocolate kit, my favorite is anything CHOCOLATE! I would never trade it with my sisters as a kid and I'd hide it under my bed. Now I raid my kids' buckets- Reeses, KitKats, Twix, Heath Bars, Peanut M&M's- you name it! Luckily they go for the suckers and hard candy and don't seem to mind too much. Mmm...
without a doubt, swedish fish.
When my son was small he would tell me, "mom, you can have my jewish fish!"
Hi there, I stumbled upon a link to your blog through one of my good friends blog. I am a designer for Stampin' Up! and when I saw this post I just couldn't resist leaving a comment to tell you that I am so glad to see that you are enjoying this DSP!! It is one of my favorites :)
Love your little album. As a kid I would not trade the sugar daddy's oh who am I kidding I wouldn't trade them now either LOL.
WOW - the album is so precious!!!
If it was/is chocolate it is all mine!!!! LOL!
Anything with peanut butter
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups for sure. BTW... I totally love your playlist. I already have a few of those artists stuck in my player but Lenka was new to me. Just bought the album on iTunes! Don't know if you have heard of her but Adele is another new fav of mine - awesome voice. Thx!
I"ll sneak anything chocolate! Yum.
Hey Liz! Another great giveaway, I love it! I love the Halloween pictures, your costumes were really fun.
I always loved Butterfingers when I was a kid, and my sister would trade all of hers for Baby Ruths. Yum!
I LOVE all candy, so this is a tough call...but my fave has got to be the Reese's PB cup!!! YUM!!!
Stacy M.
Ooh - fun! My candy that I sneak is Sweetarts. Funny enough, it's the kind my mom always bought so she wouldn't sneak them - didn't like them much. I grew associating Halloween with Sweetarts and adore them!! :) How's that for ironic???? ;)
I love that kit!!! I want is as much as my butterfingers!!!
Wow, that is so cute!! My very favorite is Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, too!
