Tea Time

There's been a lot of tea parties around here recently since she ripped open this tea party "Princess" set from Santa. Which means we've been drinking a lot of luke warm water & eating Winnie the Pooh crackers. Minnie doesn't complain though. :) The photo is from Christmas morning, hence her new doll house in the back ground that she absolutely loves! Our family room had some extra space so I set up a work table & this little table for Avery from Ikea so she could color or read, or in this case spill water, while I work.
I have officially been scrapbooking at an unhealthy amount. Is that possible, you ask? I didn't think so either-but it is. It's still totally awesome & I'm having a blast doing it because these scrapbook pages are going to blow your minds;) I just get really tired when I finally stumble into bed. Kinda like when I devour a delicious chocolate cake, sure I am enjoying each bite, but how will I feel later? :) heehee!

Creating Keepsakes came out with a new Special Issue 101 Expert Solutions and I had a fabulous time designing some pages for it. I worked on it right after Quincey was born. (I always like to think back on what I was doing since it takes a few months to hit the stands.) This one may be my favorite.

I used this paper from Scenic Route and my favorite buttons because they come threaded and are self adhesive.
Looking at that scrapbook page I can't help but think how BIG Avery has gotten since June. She is putting her words together to make sentences like when she's ready to go somewhere... "Awe we weady mommy?" Or my personal favorite is how she tells me to "be nice" when I am trying to discipline. It's too cute and hard to be stern when you are holding back from laughing. :)

I just had to comment on how your daughter tells you to "be nice" - my daughter gets so upset when I discipline (she is VERY sensitive) - she will inevitably cry and she tells me "you hurt my feelings". I always come back with - well, you hurt mine when you weren't a good listener. I'm such a mean mama!

You just inspired me to go spend sometime in my scrapbook room ~ why do I feel so guilty about going in there???? Shouldn't I be cleaning something?! I stayed home from work today because of a snow storm and have done NOTHING for myself yet until.... now THANKS!

I can't wait to get my hands on that issue!
I wish I had the time to do some unhealthy scrapbooking! I am actually taking a vacation day in the next month and the girls and I are spending all day scrapping before my baby comes and before my other friend heads back to work from maternity leave. I know we will all be inspired by this issue!

Those buttons are now in a cart to get!! I love that line!

Happy Wednesday!!

I can't wait to see your new pages!! I'm totally blocked right now and just staring at my supplies on my desk wondering where in the world to start.

Quick question: where do you find the music you have on your playlist? I have never heard of most of them, but LOVE them. Is there a certain site you go to for unheard or unsigned artists?

Happy Wednesday!! Jennifer

my daughter saw your picture of the tea party. She asked if she can come live with you. She's got the same set!

She said you have a great sister (meaning daughter!)Now as I am typing this she wants to know if she can talk? I assured her yes. Now she is asking do I know her Mother's Name. When are they going to pick me up. Probably at 10 am. (I am dictating.)

Elizabeth, I can't be the only person waiting for you to publish a book of photo techniques, scrapping inspiration, and title writing. I am constantly jealous of the sweet, silly, and hilarious (but always relevant) titles you come up with! Between your fashion, amazing marriage, and scrap skills, your blog is my guilty pleasure at work. Keep it up!

Could you please tell where Avery's doll house came from or where I can get it? I'm looking for one like it, but just can't seem to find it.
Wonderful layout as usual!

Amy,
the dollhouse is made by Kidcraft called the Savannah house!
I found it at Amazon and you can also find it at Target or Walmart etc.

thanks! :)

oh, and only online at Target or Walmart I don't think they sell it in the stores. Atleast none of my local stores did.
