Some days Avery really likes to test my patience
Some days when Collin gets home I go on a drive singing (off tune;) at the top of my lungs-it clears my mind
Some days I wish the laundry would fold itself
Everyday we ROTFL at Avery being silly
Everyday we dance in the kitchen
Everyday I can't get enough of Quincey's kissable cheeks
Everyday we sing "the wheels on the bus" over & over & over & over
Everyday I look at Q&A and am grateful that I'm a mommy
Everyday I marvel at the fact that although there are challenges of Mommahood-it is always more rewarding in the end!!
For no particular reason-except that it's just fun! :) I have a couple giveaways!!
First, Baby Cakes wants to giveaway a fabulous mom agenda desktop calendar! It helps you organize your time in weekly & monthly format & up to 4 kiddos. It comes in some other cool colors too!
Also, for those of you that don't have kiddos I have an awesome resource from CK titled "Month by Month Scrapbooking" by Amanda Probst that helps you scrapbook those holiday & seasonal topics through out the year. Plus some goodies! :)
Leave a comment with one of your {mom, woman, scrapbooker, wife, sister, friend}
confessions. :)
The above page is one of my faves from Quincey's birth day! :) It is from my Creating Keepsakes article, Dear Lizzy.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 481 of 481as a wife, i confess sometimes its hard to listen to my husbands complaints. its hard to compromise with him when i know my way is best (ha). i confess sometimes throwing out some of the junk he never uses and won't get rid of when he's not looking.
am i evil?
most days I don't get my chores done until right before everyone gets home.
Like clock work I get a sweets craving as soon as the kiddos naptime hits and... I indulge it!
Somedays are alot harder than others--but I can hanle it! I'M A MOM!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes my only meals are the crusts off of cheese toast, PB+J sandwiches and apple peels. No, really!
I really, really love knowing that when we are finished having our fun, I can give my nieces back to their mother! Hope you know that I mean that with all kinds of love!

I look forward to scooping my kids up in the morning when I hear the first signs of their awakening. But I also look forward to that precious naptime at 1:30 where I get 2 hours all to myself! Love love love your blog!
I confess ... I didn't know being a mom would be the hardest job in the world ... sometimes, I don't know what the heck I'm doing, I parent as I go ... hoping I'm doing the right thing. It is the most rewarding in the world, would not trade it for anything!

My 15yo is taking drivers training. I let him drive home last night. I think I was just as nervous, excited and scared as he was. I can't believe my 'baby' is driving!
Some days I wish the laundry would do itself! (wash, dry, fold, put away, everything!)

I LOVE spending the day with my kids, but I also LOVE when nap time arrives.....here is something magical about knowing that I have a few hours to myself and I can do pretty much whatever I want! Sometimes I nap, sometimes I get crafty....but I almost NEVER do anything that HAS to get done (cleaning, etc). That's ME time, baby!
I confess...I have taught my kids how to tell a little white fib. When daddy comes home and asks how much sweets they already have had (they always like dessert) they say none.
Sometimes we buy cookie dough and never get around to actually baking it....
Somedays I let my kids skip school just because they need a mommy day (usually twice a year)....

Being a mother is the hardest job I have ever done - but, oh, definitely the one with the most rewards, and the best "benefits". Love them oh so much!! Lisa
I live for naptime every day. It is my chance for just some "me" time.
I secrectly enjoy when my husband gets home from work late, because I can pile the kids in bed with me and read so many books that they fall asleep on top of eachother and the stories sound better with soft kiddo snores in the background and then I get to carry them into their beds feeling their warm soft cheeks against mine... and then I crawl back in bed and nibble the hidden dark chocolate stash until I hear the garage door and then I get to spend blissful, uninterrupted time with hubby! Three wonderful mommy secrets: kid indulgence, chocolate indulgence, hubby indulgence.
Sometimes...ok often...my three little boys and I turn on your playlist, Liz (we love it!)and we dance to the songs while we fold the laundry. Aidan(soon to be 4) really loves Ordinary Day. He always says, "I love this song, Mommy" and he tries to play it over and over again. I love those kind of "Mommy moments"!
I confess that with being a stay-at
home mom I sometimes lay around and watch TV with my 4 year old....and even sometimes doze off a time or two!
My Mommy confessions: My 4 year old's prayers are so eclectic that I can't help but giggle at her. I like the smell of my newborn's poops. (I know it's gross, but that smell only lasts until she starts eating solid foods.)
I confess that even when my girls 9 and 4.5 make me crazy I really wish I could keep them little forever. It goes to fast and that make me sad.
I say that I have to go to the bathroom to steal a few minutes alone to read a magazine (mainly CK) and I will drive completely out of my way to hit a drive thru Starbucks. I love that I don't have to unload the boys from the car!
Some days I let my son watch way to much tv while I scrap and listen to your playlist.
I love to smell my kids after a bath. I love the smell of my kids and baby lotion.
I too get sucked into blog land and it drives my husband nuts so I try to do it when he is not around!!!
Some days my heart feels as if it will break when I think of my children going off on their own...Some days I can't wait because I miss time alone with my husband...
It is now 2:28 on a random Tuesday afternoon and I finally get about two hours to myself while my precious 21 month old takes his afternoon nap, but I have to confess, I usually snooze on the couch when he naps. Today I am fighting my nap time and being very productive. I have taken a shower and maybe, just maybe, I will get a layout or two done :) I have been eyeing Amanda's book for a while. Thanks for a chance to win!!!!

I have been known to on more than one occasion to let the kids have ice cream for breakfast! And there always seems to be a piece of pumpkin pie missing from the Thanksgiving pumpkin pie! Can't resist the middle kiddos pleas for fresh pumpkin pie! :)
I could give you just about hundreds of confessions as a mom but I've also been lately on a new road, to get back to who I was & what I did before children. I used to sew, knit, crochet, run, bike, ...
So, as a woman to find myself again, I confess:
I would love to dance like on "Step it up", feel really wonderful in a total mix of vintage chic, stay up all night doing anything, just not sleeping, write poems again, write a book, ...
I let my preschooler watch movies on Netflix on my laptop while I do my morning blog viewing. Fun!
Confessions?
Oh, I have LOTS! Sometimes I pray that naptime would last all day...or at least a few more hours.
I dance and sing in the kitchen with my kiddos.
I let my kids feed themselves at lunchtime....even not so great unhealthy food.

Some days, I play with my kids all morning, and then look at the clock to realize I better do 1/2 hr. of work before my hubby gets home! :)
Pottery barn stuff is gorgeous and costly -so imagine my elation when my crazy, but caring mother in law bought me a beautiful duvet cover and the matching things - the whole shebang. I have 2 kids under 3 and we hang in my bed quite often drinking milk and snuggling and watching morning cartoons. Kids are messy - its just the way it is. So instead of wrapping it in plastic when the kids are in bed with, which is often, i keep it put away until I know she's coming over and out it comes onto my bed. She always compliments how clean I keep it and how good it looks on out bed and matches the room nicely. Little does she know! Even when I do use it, which is few and far between, I almost always sleep on flannel snowman sheets from Target, than the 300 count sheets that came with the set!
I confess...I spend WAY too much money on fabric and scrapbooking. But the bills always seem to get paid too;)

I love having some "me" time!
Dont let my kiddos know! ;)
Some days we just let everything go, stay in our pjs all day. Eat junk food, watch movies and snuggle. It's great for moms too not just kiddos. Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time. My youngest is 11 months and I'm dreading the 1 year mark. I wish we could just stay like this forever. My baby is growing up too fast.
Some days I stay in my PJs (the fabulously comfortable & pretty pink Nautica ones my best friend gave me for Christmas!) until late afternoon........everyday I peek at your blog & love it........some days I "veg" & watch mindless movies like "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" or "Valley Girl".
I love being a mommy too...sometimes, however, I like being alone. I get so much rest!!!

Confession of a stay at home mom (of 2 cute kitties).....I play Animal Crossing for the Wii everyday....!
some days my close girlfriend and i talk about our " fluffy white" apartment that we should own together so her or I can sneak away from the husband and kids just to take a nap in a girly apt. that no one knows about! hahaha....
Most days I snuggle with my little boy on the couch and we fall asleep together for "our" nap. Ha! I love being a stay-at-home mom so I can do that! I love eating mac and cheese with him too!
I'm right there with you, but somedays I will stay in my pj's all day and be lazy...love those days! I call those my "lifetime movie" days :-)
Somedays I just don't feel like cleaning when I really know I need to so I just vacuum real quick before the hubby gets home so it looks like I cleane :)
Sometimes I close the pantry door (with me inside) so I can sneak a piece of candy and the kids don't see me do it :)
I confess that I get dressed and clean the house right before my husband comes home from work. That way he doesn't think I didn't do anything but look at blogs and scrapbook all day.
I confess that sometimes I stay in my pajamas until the afternoon too! Nice to know that I'm not the only one!
Some days I make breakfast for dinner because we are having one of "those" days!
Monica
some days i have NO earthly idea what i'm doing and i feel so overwhelmed i can hardly stand it. but oh, am i blessed by my 2 beautiful girls. how is it that motherhood can be so exhilarating and terrifying all at once? you are doing a wonderful job.
xo
Some days are really hard being a mom and a teacher. I feel like I give my all to those 28 second graders and I just don't give my own children the "all" they deserve. I try! Then it is summer and my children get 100% dedication!
Some days I wish for another baby, because I love our daughter so much! (she's only 9 months) and I think another "accident" will happen soon :)
I'm not a mom, but I'm an aunt and one of my favorite things to do is spoil my nephew all weekend and then send him back home to his mom and dad :)
I really want to find the person who invented those little cars on the front of grocery carts and give them a huge kiss...GENIUS! Makes grocery shopping just a little bit fun (at least for one of us!!!)
Sometimes I let my kids watch too much TV so I can get some extra scrappin' time in. Or sometimes just to get a little peace and quiet. :)
My 8 month old fell off the bed today, because I fell back asleep-I felt like the worst mommy in the world! I cried longer than he did, and I get a lump in my throat every time I see that lump on his sweet head! So sad!
On a better note, I am homeschooling my kids for lots of reasons, but my selfish mommy confession is that I just can't stand the thought of them being away from me that long during the day!
Everday I tell my kids that "I Love them with all of my Heart!"
MariaB
Some days I let Dora the Explorer entertain my girls while I look at all my favorite blogs (yours included :) Man, blogging is addicting!
Being a mommy is the best decision I've ever made. I confess if it came down to it I would give everything up for that little boy :)
I almost always let my daughter have a sip of soda when she wants it. I know she shouldn't have it but I just want the peace and quiet giving in provides!
Sometimes when my kids are making me lose my mind, I eat chocolate to feel better. I also love to have a sweet when I'm folding laundry - it makes the chore more bearable. :)
I confess that I have made some of my sons "louder" toys disappear.
After years of trying to figure out what it is I want to do with my life, it hit me: I dream of being a stay at home mom (I'm not even a mom yet!):-)
i love the smell of spray adhesive. It makes my creative juices start flowing, so my scrapbook pages always look awsome.
Some days I eat 5 granola bars with peanut butter chips and tell myself they are healthy. And everyday I give my kids something green with there dinner so I won't feel bad that they ate colored goldfish all day.
My confession. I have a 21 month and a 5 month old and lately have been thinking about being pregnant again! No plans just thinking:-)
Scrapbooker confession: I haven't scrapbooked now in a year (and REALLY miss it); my room and craft table are covered in stuff from the bathroom cupboards; I can't wait until my fiance and I buy our first house (three months from now we will have the money), and can organize the bathroom, and my scrapbooking room - - and the two will never come into contact with each other again! (P.S. Everything on your site, from the music to the pictures are the cutest every - very uplifting!)
Confessions of a not-a-mom yet:
Some days i wonder why i would ever want kids when i see one throwing a tantrum at the supermarket
Some days i wish i had a baby just because they are so cute
Some days i think i would be terrified if i got pregnant right now...
Some days i want to be selfish forever and just be a DINK (double income no kids)
Some days i am afraid i won't be a good mom
Of course, one day i will have kids. Hopefully. I do love 'em.
I have to have a piece of chocolate everyday! If I don't then I am ill!!! Funny huh?
Sometimes I go all day without cooking a single meal at home.
I sometimes feel guilty for not spending enough time with my daughter. I work fulltime, she is full time-kindergarden.
Try to enjoy every minute with her, and my husband!
love the globe, liz! :)
um...i forgot....i serve PB&J more than I should ;)
My confession...I live for days when I don't have to leave the house so I can lounge around in my sweats and eat chocolate and pb! I also love putting off "housework" so I can play with my kids:o)
Everyday I think about getting my 3 year old son to sleep in his own bed. Then it always scares me.After longing for a child for over 10 years I want my son to be as close as can be.I see the news where poor children are took from their beds.I say ,maybe tomorrow but right now I still want him right between hubby and I .
Sometimes I stay in my bath robe all day! Sad, but true!
Like the thoughts on motherhood!
When my daughter was in school sometimes we'd have a 'sick day' just to stay home in our jammies together and play.
