My favorite is when my daughter got really sick so we left her with grandma while we took the boys to a band thing for my brother and my 5 year old said "this would be funer with Kenzie" (my daugher)
It help me to know that even when they fight they really love each other.

My favorite summer memory was sitting in a beach chair next to my 19 month old son (who hated the sand!) and watching my two older kids hold hands and wade in the water. We watched the sunset and it was peaceful and slightly cool and pure heaven!

This summer we took our girls to Lagoon for the first time and they loved it. My daughter loved to go on all the crazy roller coasters and rides with my brother. They had so much fun together, while I drank my soda and sat safely on the bench and watched! lori

my sweet little Bella seems to live in the shadow of her cousin who happens to be a year older than her and because of the age difference Abri is the one who gets to experience all of the "firsts"... this summer after a playdate and seeing that her cousin lost another loose tooth, Bella came up to me and said her tooth was loose and tried to wiggle her top tooth, silly girl, I said, your bottom tooth will be the first one to come out and you have plenty of time before that will happen...
she reached up, tried to wiggle her bottom tooth, and much to both of our surprise, her little bottom tooth was loose!!! In my head I could not possibly imagine my "baby's" tooth being loose, but I guess it is time! She was so tickled, I will never forget the look of excitement on her face!
Now I can't wait for her to lose the tooth so I can have some more cute pics to scrap!! {wink!}

My favorite memory this summer is seeing my son - who feared going in the deeper end of the pool w/his swim instructor and actually cried so hard about it - swim by himself in a lake from the shore to the platform at a friend's lakehouse. It helped that he saw other friends his age do it - he is competitive!

My favorite memory this summer was gong to WYoing and hiking to the Bucking Mules Falls overlook. The reason it was memorable was because I fell a few years ago and broke my knee and my ankle so badly that my foot was turned backward. Before a year of rehab I thought I might never be able to walk again. I will need a knee replacement still, but I hiked 6 miles 2 weeks ago. Yes, I can do hard things.

A favorite summer memory that has stuck in my head for so many years would have to be when my brother's and sister and I were young, sitting on the porch steps eating huge chunks of ice cold watermelon and spitting the seeds at each other. We would do this every summer. I still remember the smell of the heat, the feel of the cold watermelon drizzling down my chin and all the laughter we shared! Thank you for the chance to win this gorgeous prize! xo

There are so many its hard to pick one, but I would have to say my favorite memory from this summer is my daughter fishing for the first time. Although my husband tried and tried to get her interested in the fish and the fishing pole, she was way too focused on the worms!!! She would pick them up and drop them in the water to "feed the fish!"

My favorite memory was when I was a child and we would leave So. California on Friday as soon as my dad got off for work and drive all night for Idaho. We would hit Mesquite around 1:00 or 2:00 am and would check into a hotel and swim to cool off! It would be like 85 degrees in the middle of the night! Then we would load back up in the car and head for Idaho Falls! In the afternoon I would see the Grain Silos in Shelley and know we were close! The 2 weeks in Idaho was always Heaven! Later we moved back and I have been an Idaho girl for 35 years! I love Idaho!

Liz you are way to nice... look at all those fun goodies.. I want to come play at your house ;)

I loved spending time with the kids and doing the little things like, roasting marshmallows on the grill in the back yard, setting up the tent and telling "scary stories" to each other.. acting like we are on vacation.. or going to the water park and watching Liberty try to get a drink out of the shooting fountains asit squirts up her nose.. isn't that what summer is all about.. the little things.. the smells, the sounds of the kids laughing, and the memories.. I loved every minuet of this summer and felt like it went buy way to fast..

I grew up in a small Texas town. My dad was asst. principal of the middle school and the 7th grade math teacher, but in the summers he ran the city pool. I spent EVERY day at the pool with him during the summers and loved that he was always in that lifeguard chair, watching over me. He passed away at age 60 (20 years ago) and I still miss him terribly, but at least I have those great summer memories!

My favorite summer memory is going to the pool with my kids. I have a 6 and 4 year old and just had another baby in April. Luckily he is very easy going and was perfectly happy going to the pool so his big brother and sister could swim:)

Every summer we went to Sandpoint Idaho. My family and all my cousins. The first full day we were there right after dinner we walked to the little pier by the condo's and jumping in the lake with all our clothes on. Its my favorite summer tradition and I cant wait to start it with my husband and our future kids.

My favorite summer memory is this-we went whale watching in Santa Barbara and my daughter complained about the long bumpy boat ride out to where the whales were. She was getting a little seasick and impatient. All of the sudden, we saw the whale's spout in the distance. She saw TWO whales rise out of the water and screamed "this is awesome, this is SOOOO awesome" with a huge smile on her face. I knew it would be worth it....Heather C.

EvErY Single DAY of Summer is my favorite!! ...but if I had to pick one... The day me, my sisters, and my mom all went out to eat for our June Birthdays...at WAFFLE HOUSE!! We all laugh so loud when we get together and we of course exchanged fun & crazy birthday presents. I'm sure the old man truckers sitting at the bar got a few wide-eyed peeks at us throwing lingerie at each other. Yes, fun times indeed. HaHaHa!!

First, Don't enter me in the contest. I am entering for fun! :)

Second, hands down my favorite memory this summer was the birth of my son Sean Daniel Harper on the 4th of July and my daughter Madi meeting him for the first time at the hospital. Never would have thought I would have delivered on a holiday. Now the fireworks will have a special meaning every year.

Third...where the heck do you shop and find such CUTE clothes! I look to you for fashion inspiration because I am clueless. LOL! XOXO

My favorite summer memory would have to be the summers spent by the ocean in Maine. The smell of the salty air and the sound of the waves make me feel like a kid again!

My most fondest summer memory is our first vacation as a family. Up until that point all our travels had involved visiting other family, but when my children were 4 and 2 we went on our first beach vacation, just us. It was perfect.

My favorite summer memory this year is when we were blowing up my son's first pool and when we got done blowing it up, I sit it down on the ground and our miniature yorkie jumped inside the pool because he was so excited, or he had to be his brother inside first. Luckily I had the camera ready for pictures of our son's first time swimming and was able to capture our dog sitting insite the pool! Our son thought it was pretty funny too!

Watching my eldest turn 10...we invited 6 buddies over for a big sleep over with a neighborhood scavenger hunt and swimming in the backyard pool. I loved watching him enjoy all his buddies and play like a kid but I get choked up wondering where the past 10 years have gone...don't blink...you will miss it!

My favorite memory this year was to just spend quality time with my daughters. My oldest is going to be a senior this year and I know this is the last summer I have with her of just "chillaxin"......next summer is going to be filled with her going off to college and it will be a tough one. So for me, this summer was mission accoumplished :)

My favorite (end of summer) memory was after school this past Friday when I asked my youngest (in Kindergarten), "Did you really make an escape plan to get out of school?" He nods his head with a yes motion, looks VERY serious and says, "I missed my big brother!". The best part, his big brother is at the same school, one hallway away, and the escape plan was to come HOME to see big brother! What a great memory to end our chapter of Summer '09! Thanks for letting me share!

Enjoying our almost nightly walks down to the creek to throw rocks. Has been a family favorite time for the last couple years. Hopefully my girls will remember it when they get older.
