Trying (and sort of accomplishing!) to wakeboard for the first time. My son and husband made it look so easy. I got up, and stayed up, for a while but then went down face first...HARD! So happy I tried and made it though. Great summer memory! :) Thanks for the fun giveaway Elizabeth.

Hi...my favorite summer memory is of my husband cleaning sand from my daughter's face at the very edge of the ocean. I was fortunate enough to capture this on my camera and it's on my wall of black and white family photos.

Moving into our new home, and seeing my kids for the first time after they had been at their grandparents. I missed them so so much and it seemed as thought they had grown a foot in a matter of a few weeks.

I have two favorites this summer....One is the smile that couldn't be wiped off my daughters face after her first horseback riding lesson. As we were leaving after the lesson I looked in the rear view mirror to still see her smiling. I just loved that moment. The other favorite is watching my son swim under water like a fish. At the beginning of the summer he wouldn't even go in the water without a tube. Two very exciting things that will never be forgotten.

My favourite summer memory is definitely strawberry picking! Soooooo yum!!!

Rebecca said...

My favorite summer moment....do I really have to pick just one??? Okay..so it would have to be watching my boyfriend pick out his first dog ever(his own..not a family pet) He had done all of the research on the different breeds and had settled on a pure black german shephard...took him awhile to find one since they are rare..but when he did, the breeder had two to choose from. I have to say, he picked well, at 5 months old, Spock is a challenge, but so verry worth it all.

My favorite summer memory is the summer of 1997. I was just a kid, and that summer was the perfect illustration of childhood innocence. Among other things, we (me and the other children on my street) organized our own Olympic day ... we made medals out of cupcake liners and had events like bike races and seeing who could swing the highest on the swing set. *sigh* Innocence and bliss.
