monday, monday

Days mesh together lately and, to be honest, I never really know what day it is.
Except Mondays. Mondays are like going to the cupboard to sneak an E.L. Fudge when no one is looking and you open the package and there's none left. Tragic. ;P Actually Mondays aren't that bad but since the cookie scenario just happened I thought it would be a perfect illustration to our day. ha. Seriously though, it's amazing the bliss that comes from something as simple as the kids playing quietly, Lola is sleeping and you can eat a cookie in peace. Please tell me I'm not the only one?!
But here we are the start of the week, getting back into our groove and singing 'The Mamas and The Papas' along the way... Bah-da bah-da-da-da Bah-da bah-da-da-da. Monday, monday.
Wow, I think the lack of sleep is getting to me. No one actually reads blogs right? You just look at the pictures, I hope.

I am not gonna lie, I rarely read only gather inspiration from photos however I have a 3 month old baby girl so when the words cookie, tragic and peace caught my eye... I had to read! Sadly I have had your monday today except my cookie was the last triable of my fruit and nut toberlone from christmas! :)

Enjoy the peaceful moments as they give us the strength to get through the rest!

I had those days of fuzzyness many years ago when my babies were babies! Time flies! An elderly friend once told me when mine were little - the days drag on but the years fly by. I didn't get it then but now that my baby is headed off to college this summer - I absolutely get it!!

Colleen, that is so true. I can tell already how true that statement is. :)

I love the grocery store because my husband always stays with the kids when I go. He seriously thinks it takes me 2 hours to buy bananas, bread and milk! Ha! Quiet time is so precious! So are your kiddos!

Lola is just so cute! I don't blame you for wanting to eat a cookie in peace. I just hope next time there's one in the cupboard for you! :)

I must confess that there are some blogs that I simply take in all of the photos. But, you my friend always have such inspiring and sweet stories that I can't help myself but read them sometimes twice. And of course the hijacked posts by Collin also must be read!! I have a friend who has a crush on Collin and when I told her that I got to take a photo with him at Spark and that he sat and visited with us after a meal she squeeled, she was so jealous. So cute! Anywho, keep the amazing photos and posts coming!! Hugs!! xoxo from conroe, tx!

haha I read the blogs that have good writing. And yours does, so don't worry about that. You're honest and that's good. The pictures are great too though and your kiddos are beautiful.

I read! Nice try though. ;-) Mmm.... cookies. I hope you get some EL Fudges soon! :-D

You'll be feeling much better (less tired, more motivation, etc) in a few months, and then you'll be like, "What?!?! Lola is WALKING!? What happened? I wanna go back to that baby stage again... maybe... " LOL. :-)

Hang in there, Lovely! Keep your chin up. We're all here for you... whenever and how much or how little you post. We're here. :-)

p.s. I do admit though... if it's a manufacturer's blog... I usually just look at the pictures. ;-)

That baby of yours is the sweetest! Love the hair flower! My fave quiet time snack is hot cocoa with lots of whip cream on top and sprinkles with a bowl of cinnamon sugar kettle corn. I have this every day during my three year old's nap time and head to my studio in the freezing cold basement...can't wait for it to warm up...it's nice down there in the summer. :)

Unfortunate I do read ur blog, ha!
Yup, definitely love those pictures and those lovely pics make me regret that I didn't take enough photos of my kiddos when they are still very little.

I am loving Kimi's comment...I, too, love the grocery store. Ours has a Starbucks at the entrance, and there is nothing like sipping my pumpkin spice latte while strolling through the aisles and enjoying a kid-free hour.

ps. I do read the words, but the sweetness of your adorable babies makes up for any part of the post that doesn't make sense :)

VERY occasionally I wake up before my children wake me by standing right in my face and asking me to change their bubba's nappy or "where is my DS?" - and I get up and enjoy the silence of the house. I sneak around the kitchen, make myself a cup of tea and just enjoy the peace. those moments are a gift...

That little Lola makes me want to come for a visit with a big purse and just snatch her up :) I mean that with the best intentions of not ACTUALLY steal her. My 9 yr old daughter and I ogle babies constantly. I'll tell her "shoot I wish I had my big purse and we could just sneak the baby out of here" she always giggles at the thought but we both have seriously incurable baby fever :) oxoxo that sweet thing!

Love this post! You make random things so beautiful! There are a lot of blogs I look at just for pics, but I do read your posts. You guys are so creative and funny, how could I not read them? Thanks for sharing a bit of inspiration always! You rock!

I LOVE reading your blog... check daily. Not only are your pictures luciously beautiful (as are the subjects) but you always write about honest feelings. Your blog reminds me of how things used to be. My life is different with an 18yo boy,14yo boy, 12 yo girl and 6yo boy with special needs. There used to be such peace when kids where little sitting down coloring. now life is filled with driving to volleyball, soccer, basketball, kids houses, birthday parties etc. I, too love colin's highjacks... he's pretty humorous! two things... i now share your blog with my 12 yo daughter because I wanted her to see how good friends can make a beautiful marriage and the other day you shared the idea of love being like confetti...and my sister just had her second child on 1/11/11 (16 years after her first) and used your analogy to explain how holding that newborn was like...she totally agreed. Now "confetti" is a code word for love in our family! Thanks for your blog...it makes my day!
