It took Avery about an hour this morning until she asked where her candy was. Candy, what candy? (As I was hiding the kit kat in my hand.) Poor thing did all the hard work last night and here I was reaping the benefits. But this girl doesn't hold her sugar well, so I traded the goods for a chance to watch her favorite movie.
Avery changed her mind a few times of what she wanted to be for Halloween. First, it was Ariel then Strawberry Shortcake, until finally she settled on a witch. My favorite was when I handed her a glittery broom and she replied so excited--"Oh, goody! So I can clean like a witch!"
Quincey fit the part of Minnie Mouse perfectly, posing and prancing around.
Meet Cliff & Gladys:
I woke up in an ornery mood on Halloween so my outfit was quite fitting. And if I didn't already feel not very cute at the moment... why not make it worse and be an old fart named Cliff with a comb-over and mustache? Good thing I have my saucy wife named Gladys to lift my spirits! Collin played the part the whole night. We were laughing so hard... and I continue to laugh every time I see these pictures.
It's just not right.Oh my.

All of the costumes are great, but oh my Gladys must have been a real hit. Saw the picture he posted on Twitter last night and had a good laugh. The eye makeup was great!

Oh my gosh, I'm CRACKING up!! Lizzy you beautiful thing it's quite amazing how you can pull off frumpy ol Cliff. The baby bump worked perfectly for those pants. Who knew Collin had such high cheek bones but such skinny little ankles. LOL Q wearing those high heels is soo funny. And I really think you should give Avery just a couple pieces of candy. ;o) TFS always look forward to your yearly halloween costumes. What's next year? Three blind mice? I have some ubber awesome costumes that took first place at many a halloween party.
The red wig and the gray combover make those outfits! Hilarious. Glad those get-ups didn't scare your adorable girls!

Hysterical!! And the kids were cuties!! We have the same candy issue with our five year old and this year our pediatrician told us about the "switch witch". The Switch Witch comes the night of Halloween after you've gone trick or treating and switches your candy for a toy!! So we've got her convinced that was a better deal. You should try it, it worked great this year!!

I've always thought you were so darling but paired with that husband of yours...just too much! I befriended him on facebook and I laugh outloud...literally LOL at every single one of his posts.
