Studio 5

First off, are you kidding me with that last post?! I was dieing laughing when I finally got a chance after CKU to read Confessions of a SAHD! lol! That was hilarious and definitely sounded like a typical day... for the most part. Thanks Collin for being Super Dad & giving us all a laugh!!

This morning Collin and I drove up to KSL because I joined Brooke Walker at the Studio 5 set to chat about the monogrammed wall that she saw on my blog a couple months ago. She brought a faux wall to the studio where I hung up some pictures and Ks. I was a little nervous thinking about how I would recreate it in the studio but it turned out super cute, actually even cooler than the one I have at home. haha!
I also talked about how to cover your own wood letters you can find at craft stores with fabric & the best places to find letters. That's my favorite part-the hunt for the letters- because once you start collecting you will see them everywhere and they each have a story and meaning behind them.
Oh, and I also shared this tip from Martha Stewart because whenever I want to decorate a wall Collin gets this funny look on his face because his perfectly painted wall will now have tonz of holes in it... so use this tip to avoid all the 'oops' when hammering nails.
The clip isn't up online but I will let you know when it gets posted. Loved working with Brooke again-she is a sweetheart & of course Darin.
Happy Monday!

I immediately feel in love with that collage when you posted and had to make my own... Check it out here: http://allsamsidea365.blogspot.com/2009/07/july-10-2009.html

You are SO RIGHT... once you start looking out for letters they appear everywhere! Even though I am done with my collage I am still buying letters because I just can't help myself... Hee hee.

I can't wait to see the clip!

Congrats on the show!

I went back and looked at that post and love the wall. I also LOVE that you have no window treatments. :) I'm a no-curtain kind of girl in many rooms of my house. I just like the clean fresh look it gives.

Awesome Martha tip - Thank you.

As for monograms, I have always avoided them. I thought they were cheesy.

Well you may have actually changed my mind... I love the look. Hmmm now to look for M's or upside down W's. Ohhhh the excitement is growing :)

Collin U R so busted! I thought how could he take over the care of these 2 busy little people and still manage to get such great photos?! Ha Quincey either lost her "pearly whites" while in your care OR that is an old photo of her crying:> hopefully the latter.
Really though GREAT job handling things so your busy talented wife could share her skills.

Hi Liz, I never leave a comment cause you just get so many! But I had to send a thank you and thought I would share my wall with you since you inspired it. Funny, I did this after your original "K Randomness" post and then saw you on Studio 5 Monday. I love my wall and appreciate your talent. In case you want to see it here is the link: http://bowcutfamily6.blogspot.com/2009/05/wall-is-wall-is-wall.html. Thanks so much!
