Since I have a hard time deciding between a vanilla or chocolate frosty at Wendys you could imagine my indecisiveness while browsing through Lisa's beautiful shop. It was finally down to the Laundry Line necklace charms or the Sweetheart Tree necklace... or the Family Crest or the Wish... or the... all of Lisa Leonard's designs are so delightful! Then Lisa emailed me saying that I have to get the Laundry Line charms to match my blog header. That sealed the deal.

I love fall. It's my favorite season I think. (I can find happiness in all the season, though we tend to have a VERY long winter here in the UP).But I digress... There are so many things about fall that make me happy, the crisp weather, crunchy leaves, the colors, apple cider & apple desserts, pumpkins, my birthday, etc. But this fall I'd have to say the thing that is making me the most happy is that my home is quiet at night. No more snoring or sleep apnea from any of my 3 sweet children. My son was the last of them to get his tonsils out (yesterday) & he's got his happy, lovey, personality back despite being in a bit of pain now & again. I'm just so happy to see all 3 of my babies getting the rest that they need. :) Here's one happy Momma!

Earlier this year my hubby was laid off, twice. This fall, I'm not only thankful that he now has a permanent position in a company he loves, I'm also thankful that they are a family focused company. Our kids are sick and they gave him the week off with pay so he could help me take care of them.

Two weeks ago i was diagnosed with ITP and nearly lost my life. So, this fall is a new perspective for me. I love the little messy parts of mommyhood- I appreciate them now, because I CAN and am ABLE to have them. Love picking up candy corn that my 3 year old hides around the house now, instead of complaining about it. I love to watch the wonder in his eyes as he checks our our red maple every day out the front window to see if it has changed color from the previous day. Fall and everyday life is looked through with a new "lense" for me. I am more thankful this fall-for everything!

Normally, I would say the weather & Halloween, because Fall is my favorite time of year. This year, though, I'm happy that I married into such an amazing family. My husband's grandfather just passed away, and it is hard for all of us because he was such a sweet man, always teasing us & making us laugh. I'll miss his smile most. But I'm happy that we got to spend so much time with him before he died, that he went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father, and that the family he left behind has pulled together and loved each other so much through this. I'm happy that I got to know him. He won't ever be forgotten.

What makes me happy this fall is the smile on my grandaughter Addyson's face when she arrives to spend the day with Nana while her mom is at nursing school. She is my little pumpkin!!!

Lighting the fireplace for the first time. It is a ceremony in our house. It requires a cold, blustery day, caramel apples, and hot chocolate. It is how we officially ring in the fall season.
I love pumpkins, and pumpkin spice chai tea lattes at Starbucks, and pumpkin ice cream at the Yogurt Patch, and carving pumpkins, and everything pumpkins!!
I love the beautiful color of the leaves as they change and being able to wear my sweatshirts and sweaters again!!! :)
this fall...i just found out i was pregnant today with our 2nd...that's making me smiley today. :) we've been trying for a while, so i'm so so happy!
