brightens my day

About 7 years ago I think I told Collin not to buy me flowers because they are a waste of money. What was I thinking? Thank goodness he never listened to me.
Because I take it all back. :)
If I'm going to stand at my kitchen sink for many hours of the day it might as well be beautiful too. breakfast... second breakfast... lunch... rinse repeat... dinner.
The tiny vases are from Target and other random ones I've collected.

If you don't have any small vases, here's an excuse to buy some Orange Crush or your favorite soda pop. Cheers!

PS Thanks for the fantastic questions. I am excited to start tackling them this weekend! Feel free to add to them. elizabeth.kartchne(at)gmail(dot)com

i told my husband the same thing and it is one of my "duh what was I thinkin" moments. After 2o years it is hard to retrain him. I just go out and buy my own now. I love the daffodils at Trader Joe's. they put a smile on my face every time!

I've learned that women say the opposite of what they really mean...."I don't want flowers"..."I really don't need nice clothes"..."You look skinnier today, Collin"....etc.

i'm one of those that doesn't care for flowers (i like flowers, don't get me wrong), and tells my hubby NOT to buy them for me. lol! but after seeing your cute paper flowers in your booth, i went and bought some of those tiny vases from target. now if only i could get around to making the paper flowers to go in them ;)

Sad to say I also told my hunny not to buy me flowers but when he does I keep them until the last petal falls. I would buy my own if I ever remember to...

you two are the cutest! I wish my husband would "pop" in on my block or even hijack it like Colin does...but I am afraid I ain't got a writer for a husband. However, he does me flowers out the blue...

I have a question about your Dear lizzy products: I bought your book (love it by the way) It's available here in South Africa, do you know if your products are or if they will be internationally at some stage? I would love to get my crafty, paint-stained hands on your line.

I'm terrible at flower arranging and have hesitated on splurging on flowers til now...I love how you put a flower in each of the vases (even I could do that). As always, I love the inspiration that you provide on your blog! TKS!

Leslie

P.S. Tks also for sharing where you found the adorable vases--got to love Target!

I have some questions :)

1.Where do you shop? Your style is soo cute!
2.What kind of camera do you use?
3.I know you do a lot of traveling and stuff but is scrapbooking like your full time job? Or do you have another job. I think its amazing to make a career doing something so fun and creative! Thats a dream come true!!
And last one just cause Im curious..
A long time ago you posted a photo of a dog which I believed was yours, do you have any pets? :)
I have seven dogs, and two birds. hahaha

HI! Thanks so much for putting The Show by Lenka back on your playlist. My silly monkey heard it, came down the stairs, and started skipping and dancing in a circle saying, "It's My Faborite Song, Mama!!!!" "I Wuuuuuv Wanka." She cracks me up :) Thanks so much!!! That just made my day.

Oh! I collect old bottles, sometimes, but they don't have any cute flowers in them yet. :) though hubby likes to collect them on walks, so I hope with Spring around the corner they'll fill up soon. Lovely!
