crewcuts diy tips

My sister brought over the Crewcuts catalog and I love it. Besides wishing some of the clothes came in my size I gushed over their DIY projects.
-Adding zig zag stitching, beads and weaved in tulle to leggings.
-Using fabric markers to draw polka dots on a dress.
-Dressing up a cardi with fabric scraps.
I'm finishing up a couple DIY embellished shirts I've been working on to share soon. Hope you had a great weekend!

PS your comments for my last post are making me laugh... coming up with a good reason for me being lazy. ;)

Crewcuts stuff is sooo cute... nice of them to post DIY ideas, but I don't think I'd let my kids use fabric markers on JCREW clothes!!! How about starting with stuff from sale at Old Navy...

I thought the same thing about the markers... ha.

Ooh, I'll have to check that out!

And keep up with the naps--with your schedule, you need/have earned them.

Ooo, this is so cute! We don't have that up here in Canada, on line only - but love the concepts!!

So, this is a random comment... but I just have to say that I love your blog and here is why... I have enjoyed it for a while and I love that it has stayed fabulously simple. It seems as other blogs grow their audience, their blog gets cluttered, their posts have less content and my interests fades. But not you!!!! Your blog is as inspiring as ever and is a calm, happy looking place that I want to visit on the web. Just had to say.... kudos to you! Your work continues to motivate me in my creative pursuits.

cute ideas, but I just don't see how realistic it is messing with jcrew stuff. I would pick something a bit more pocket friendly, esp if it is just to scribble on some plain kahkis.

I thought the same thing as many others - there is no way I would pay the money for crewcuts and then let my kids draw on them!

I ADORE Crewcuts! I totally agree- some of those clothes need to come in my size! And I have to agree with ya'll about the markers. We need to practice on those cheap Goodwill clothes!
