Yesterday at 11:45 on a Tuesday in the middle of the road.
A stolen moment in the snow.
Pretty sure my neighbors think I am crazy but it was too beautiful to watch from inside in my slippers, I wanted to sludge through it in my uggs & feel the snowflakes tickle my cheeks.
That's how things work lately. These quick, stolen moments.
Like last night, tweet # 1,537 'Never underestimate the power of a bubble bath.' Another such stolen moment that Collin, bless his heart, was trying to keep Lola happy so I could enjoy the bubbles longer but those few minutes were enough. And throughout the day when I steal a moment to work on a scrapbook page or send an email to a friend, or hum and sing to Lola in her room with just us. Not only do I strive to make time for these moments but also to notice them. Whether you work, go to school, or a mom... the things we do all day can be a bit monotonous but it's up to us to find the spectacular... somehow.
Leave a comment with your name and, if you want, share one of your spectacular stolen moments then you will be entered to win a necklace from Shop Ruche. They are one of my awesome blog sponsors. Ruche is where I got the coat I'm wearing in above photo and the boots, dress, belt, sweater I was wearing on our date night. Needless to say, I like to shop there. So if you want a chance to win the necklace below leave a comment and I'll choose a random winner, or I'll get Collin to choose the lucky lady... or man. Do any men read this blog? ;)

ooh yum, what a lovely little piece.
stolen moment: catching up with my blog friends (even though we have never met, you have been so inspiring to me, and you don't even know...)
Fabulous photo.
My spectacular stolen moment sound a little boring when you actually put into words. It is just a simple cup of coffee and a cookie (low fat of course) flicking through a magazine in my corner. This is after children in bed and jobs done and while my husband and father inlaw watch TV.
My only time for personal space,it may sound a little selfish, but I do love my family.
an hour at the gym M-F is my favorite stolen moment right now. I am learnng to love the gym again and it makes me happy rght now.
my spectacular stolen moment is when my i look at my little babe and his is staring and smiling at me, just cause i'm his lucky mommy and we have that special connection.
Love your coat...and your blog...and I would totally love a necklace from Ruche!!!
My son is 14 and my niece is 3. She absolutely adores him and he dotes on her. My family went to visit her family 2 weeks ago. She had pulled a bean bag up next to her princess couch and designated it Mikie's spot. When their grandmother went to sit in the bean bag next to my niece, my niece told her it was only for Mikie. It melted my heart to hear because we only get to see them 3 times a year, yet they are still so close and love each other dearly.
love the moment! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful thought!!
Love that photo I steal a moment every morning to stand and take in the beauty of my big, handsome, gentle boy as he sleeps in a tumble of bedding legs a kimbo serene in his slumber. No longer a little boy, on the verge of teenage years slowly growing into a young man.Yet sound asleep I can still see my darling baby boy in the shadows of my mind the house is quite its my fav moment of the day all mine .
the hour between when the kids get on the bus and my hubby and i both start our work days is like a daily date :)
Tonight after a long evening and everyday stresses and searching my daughter found her 100.00 she thought she had lost last evening. Cant tell you how thankful I was for her....I enjoy your blog so very much, such a part of my everyay life.
I'm from California and wish so bad we had snow like that...so I steal quite drives home at sunrise when it feels like everyone else in the world is still asleep. I'm a night shift nurse in NICU..
Hope this doesnt repeat as I dont see my comment on here. But wanted to say thank you for your blog as it is a daily routine for me. Today my daughter and I after searching and almost giving up found her misplaced 100.00! So so happy! Thanks for your inspiration on your blog.
My spectacular moment? This morning actually! I turned on Kids Praise music and brought out the colors and paper for my two year old draw with. She specifically asked for me to play the song, "The Good Shepherd" and it brought tears to my eyes. She's still small, but she's learning. Love your blog, and now you've got me stuck on Ruche!!!
staying home from school just this once to scrapbook! (don't worry, it's legit - i'm sick too.) i LOVE the pictures you take!
Your blog is my stolen moment! I try and sneak in a quick read of your blog and some other favourites at some time during the day, as a quick creative escape. And cute outfit by the way! :)
I love the moments when one of my sweet dogs pads over to me and nestles into me just because she wants to love & be loved. I always put down whatever business I'm occupied with to scratch their extended heads. Life is too short, especially I dog years, to not love others with intention. We have every good Reason to love and share Love. :o)
Lately my stolen moments are after my husband gets home from work, I sometimes sneak off into my room and lay down to watch my baby bump around in my belly. He seems to move more when it's quiet:)
Oh my goodness I love that photo! And your buttons are to die for. Really. Ok, my stolen moments are when my little boys are finally asleep for the night, after dinner, baths, books (a gagillion) kisses and hugs (another gagillion, lol) and I steal away to work on something creative and yummy. These days it Soul Restoration. And peeking at your blog. ♥
Love that photo! I too relish my blissful stolen moments here and there...
An oh so typical stolen moment for me is an indulgent long shower where I "hide" out and get a little peace before my extremely busy 3 and almost 2 year old boys give me another run for my money!
Hiding in the pantry with a dessert spoon clutched tightly in one hand and a LARGE jar of Nutella in the other...shhhhhh...
Jo C from Australia.
Лизи, I so am glad that have found your blog. With pleasure I observe of your creativity, your family and you. I am pleasant not only like a photo, but also to read about your sensations of life))
Thanks for chance to win this fine necklace
Also excuse for my awful English)
It's a snowflake's uniqueness that makes each and every one so special!
Love the look of Ruche! Send me on a shopping spree... I really don't mind taking one for the team!!! LOL!
Thank you for your post today! My life's been feeling a bit monotonous lately, but I guess it's all in how you look at it, hey?!
Ohhhh pick me... pick me! If for no other reason than the fact that I am up at 3:35 AM reading this blog as I spend "quality" time with my new sweet baby boy... I could use a little Ruche in my life :)
What a fabulous photo! WOW!!!!! Thanks for a chance to win!
What a beautiful photo -- if your neighbors saw it, they sure wouldn't think you were crazy any more!
I love those moments when I can just sit still, in a quiet room, and look out the window for a second...and feel grateful that I'm inside in this cold, cold weather!
It's my birthday and I love jewelry. I so enjoy your blog and seeing your family and how you do such great pics. I can't wait to have grandkids to practice some of these.
love this picture of you! super cute!
my stolen moment is right now ... when most of the world around me is still sound asleep and I get to enjoy the quiet and catch up on my scappy obsession! :)
My stolen moment is enjoying my coffee in the morning. It's usually after getting my oldest off to school and before whatever is on the list for the day...volunteering, preschool, cleaning, what have you. I also 'steal' many, many snuggles with my little ones during the day :) We have a storm day here today so I think we may all snuggle up later and watch a movie. Love these days!
You are adorable in that picture, though, even though I'm Canadian I would still be huddling in the warmth of my house :) Bring on summer!
what a gorgeous photo! i had a most delicious stolen moment yesterday. while putting my younger son down for a nap, i fell asleep on my older son's bed. i woke up a minute or two later and realized there was nothing else that HAD to be done, so i pulled the quilt over me and slept....for an hour. as a mom you have to seize the moments when you can, even if laundry gets wrinkled!
love your scarf and your hat!!!! turquoise is my favourite colour :) where did you get them???
xoxo
elisa
My stolen moment is when I get up before the kids and read your blog.
Realizing that instead of trying to find a way to be crafty without, including my little peanut and teaching her the tricks of the trade make us both happy! Last night she helped me work on a dress she will wear for upcoming pictures - now when she looks back she will be able to say she helped me make it!
I love to wander in the garden....watching the plants grow and taking in the wonder.
my stolen moments are the times I spend in my craft room with a cup of coffee, just sipping and creating. yesterday I plopped my little lady on a quilt next time me and I made a Valentine's day banner out of doilies!
ps: absolutely love that ruche necklace!
Right now right here is a stolen moment for me. That coat is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just love to read, see your pictures, read you inspiration everyday. THIS is a stolen moment for me. My little feel good everyday:)
All of my moments are stolen and I appreciate each of them. Do I hear: sneak away to visit with a friend in the middle of the day? or pick up the phone to wish a cousin 'happy birthday'? or sitting at the computer reading blogs? Yes, they're all stolen and I love them all.
That picture is grrrreat ;) I am waiting for snow today but outside is just a boring gray sky...
You have to do snow angel...and the day will be perfect :D
Beautiful photo! My stolen moments are in the early morning, before the kids wake up! A bath, a taped tv show, or a little scrappy or computer time...
You almost make me want to go outside in the snow. Almost. Beautiful moment though. I highly enjoy little moments too. Watching the baby enjoy his bath, the peaceful, angelic look on my 3 year old's face when he's sleeping, a glass of wine and a kitty in my lap or being able to hug my husband without the kids tugging st one of us.
Ah, my stolen moment lately is grocery shopping without my 3 little kiddos ... heaven! ;) Or, heck - when my hubby grocery shops for me after the kids go to bed. I sit in the recliner and do NOTHING. Happy day.
;)
WOW! your outfit is p-e-r-f-e-c-t!
the scarf you're wearing is so beatiful. is it also from Ruche?
and for the little moments in our life... they make everyday special in a different way and they are so fun to picture :)))
hearing those little pitter patter footsteps coming from my little girls room to be greated by her in the morning climbing into my bed & snuggling together whilst watching the rain run down our window pane & knowing we dont have to go anywhere - a heavenly spectacular stolen moment x
Yesterday we had a beautiful, sunny warm day here in Seattle (in January!?) so I took the kids to the park for PB&J even though I just got over strep throat and have 100 things to do :)
We live in the woods and there was a beautiful snowfall overnight. I took the time to stop and enjoy the scene and smile at the magic of snow. Thanks for inspiring us to cherish these moments.
As a stay at home mom, I don't get to steal moments for myself very often. However, my boyfriend is very good about letting me take the first shower in the morning (and using up most of the hot water) while he gets our 2 year old up and dressed for the day. I enjoy starting my day off with 15 minutes to myself (and honestly, if I didn't take my shower then, chances are I wouldn't get a shower some days). Its also very funny to hear the two of them together--the other day I got out of the shower to hear my boyfriend singing to our son, very badly, while getting him dressed...made me smile!
Also, love that photo, and your coat--so cute!!!
Yep, love the photo! I don't know if any men read this blog - apart from Colin that is. But this girl here enjoys reading it very much and sends you warm wishes from cold Heidelberg :) Thanks for sharing!
I think I need to go shopping! Love all their beautiful items.
After the kids get home from school, I like to enjoy a few chocolates and a cup of coffee. So yummy, and helps perk me up for the evening.
Lisa
I stole a moment last night to listen to young women from our church talk about being righteous, pure, honest, clean, etc. It brought tears to my eyes thinking of the young girls in the world today and how many do not seek after these attributes. ~TanyaS
LOVE this post! My spectacular stolen momment is when I get home from work, I spend time with my sweet 10-month old Lauren....we just giggle and tickle and act silly...it makes life so sweet!
beautiful photo of you! my stolen moment is when the older two girls have left for school and the little one is content playing that I get to slowly sip through my entire cup of coffee before we begin the adventures of our day. oh and having a new necklace would be a great reason for a date night to show it off!
Great reminders! Love the colors in your photo against that wonderful snow! Missing the snow around here since it is in the 50's and almost all melted!
My stolen moment comes after dinner sometimes, after the kids have been excused and before I start cleaning up. I will sit at the table for a few extra minutes with a glass of wine and savor a piece of chocolate. Chocolate + wine = decadent stolen moment!
I love that picture. My moments have been on the treadmill with my ipod as I prepare myself for having my second child 10 years after having my first one - not sure what I got myself into.
A beautiful photo indeed.
Ever since having my second child, I have found the need to find "me" time to just stop and take a breath. The other night, I just plopped the children in the bath, and moved out of their sight and read a book while they quietly played. Ahhhhh. Peace.
What a beautiful photo! Since I live in Italy I miss the snow so much... on a snowy day I was always happier than I normally am... the peace and quietness snow is bringing I miss so bad...
Have to say I found your blog and I'm in love :) You really know how to capture the ordinary and make it worth taking a second look at. My goal this year (I hate the word "resolution") is to do just that...and I want to thank you :)
My stolen moments usually come in the middle of the night to finish nursing my son, who is now 13 months, lay him next to me in bed, and just watch him sleep and see how content he is with just.me.
Love the necklace. We have been getting so much snow too.
I work full time. And I have two babies. One is 2 the other is almost 4 months. I try to take those sweet moments (like holding each baby) last as long as they possibly can.....I have found with my second baby that I missed out a lot with my first. So, I am trying to treasure each of them for who they are.
Ruche....amazing goods. I hope I win ;)
My shower at the end of the day is my only alone time. And I cherish those few minutes I get.
I am a mom of 4, 3 boys and a girl, and I work at a preschool 3 days a week, which I bring 3 of my 4 kids to (my oldest is in 1st grade). So my days off are getting things done around the house. My spectacular is when I make time to PLAY with my kids. They love to play games, or make forts, or whatever, but I have to admit that when I play with them, I feel like an awesome mom, and that makes the moment spectacular!
One of those stolen, precious moments were last night when i was walking in the hallway, wayyy past the kids bedtime and I peeked around the corner to find them giggling and sitting on the litchen counter eating cookies. All I could do is feel blessed that my 14 yr old boy and my 9 yr old girl love eachother so much!
My favorite stolen moments are when my boys are playing by themselves, and they don't realize I'm watching them. They are SO cute.
What a beautiful pic! I've been looking around at Ruche because I LOVE everything you wear but haven't made a purchase YET. . .
Stolen moments. . . .every Tuesday night I sit down to watch Parenthood and think to myself "Yes, I will be able to make it through the teenage years." - I don't watch much TV, so this hour where I get to PICK what I'm watching and do it all by myself is a great timeout!
My stolen moment came yesterday after I took my daughter to church night...I was supposed to be doing at home work, but instead started up the fireplace and sat with the last couple chapters of a good book. It was perfect!
GORGEOUS~
No stolen moments in the snow here in FL. When I have an hour to sneak off to Starbucks with my bff, now that is a great stolen moment!!
my favorite stolen moments are when i have a chance to sit down for just a couple of minutes and my kitten will jump up in my lap and snuggle. :0) xoxo andie librandi...
My stolen moment was my 6-year-old crawling into bed with me the other morning and talking to me about school. He never goes into much detail about his day at school, but this particular morning he laid there and let me hug on him like a baby teddy bear. He spoke about his deep feelings and thoughts about everything. It was wonderful.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ruche!! You have had me addicted for a while and i do most my shopping there now too;) Love the necklace, like everything else from Ruche!!
I have that same scarf you're wearing (loved the Liberty of London line for Target!). My spectacular stolen moments are when I put my contacts in and do my makeup :) My hubby asked why I was dressed up! Thanks for the giveaway!
Pleeeaase tell me that I am the random winner! I love this necklace!
my stolen moments lately have been laying down with my girl when she goes to bed. she is eight and my last one baby and i have been feeling lately like childhood is slipping away...
Favourite stolen moment? I love an unexpected wrestle in the snow on our way out to the car. Messy, but fun :)
My not always affectionate 8 year old, for some reason, climbed on my lap and cuddles and talked with me for 30 minutes at least. It was AMAZING!! I love those moments!!
Stolen moments are a rarity in our household. I love that you were able to take one!
My stolen moment is in my car on the way to work. I listen to all those books I've been wanting to read on CD! :)
That is such a great photo of you! I had a snow moment last night! I went to take the dogs out and the sky was a beautiful pinkish color (it was 9:30pm) and so bright! The trees were perfect picture outlines and a stillness rested over the entire neighborhood. It was absolutely spectacular!
That coat is fabulous. Before I even read your post I was thinking... I wonder where she found that coat? Thanks for the chance to win!
my favorite stolen moment (most recently anyway) is feeding the baby in the early morning, 4 or 5am-ish. as groggy as i am, being up with her in the quiet morning while everyone else is still sleeping is so wonderful. makes me realize how blessed i am to have her in my life, even if she makes me lose sleep. (you know how that is...) :)
My daughter and I have a stolen moment every night before bed when we give "Hug/Kiss" and we argue about who loves the other more. Being only 2, it's one of my favorite moments of the day.
so often when i see a "must have" item you say it's from Ruche! LOVED the boot from date night. and i think you blog today inspired me to take a bubble bath.....
My awesome moment came with my two rascals watching Mickey's clubhouse and we all did the hot dog dance. And little Sean even raises his hands. So cute.
Ahhh! Snow! So pretty and quiet!
I can't wait to shop Ruche! Losing all my baby weight slowly but surely!
love your blog!
Oooh, I'd love to win! Yesterday, I sat at this broken-down, old picnic table outside my office, closed my eyes and listened to the wind in the trees (I live in CA)... it was heavenly!
Those little stolen moments can just about sweeten any day! Even the "I feel sick and have a bazillion things to get done"' kind of days.
Love your scarf and hat by the way! Very cute! Ruche has some great stuff! Thanks for introducing me to it.
Susana
My stolen moments are when I go for a run, no Ipod, just me and the pavement. I heart those moments. Thanks for the giveaway! Casey
One of my stolen moments was the other day after the rain stopped the smell was glorious!
I would love that awesome necklace. And I still love Collin's slanted chin!
Yesterday, I sat my 4 year old on my lap & we oohed and aaahed over Optimus Prime goodies on Etsy. I loved connecting with him in such a small way. We ended our "window" shopping with hugs & tickles :)
My stolen moment and indulgement was a glass of wine and listening to Sarah McLachlan.....a little slice of heaven right there!
Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I love Ruche!
Yesterday afternoon, a quiet 30 minutes with a book by one of my favorite authors. Mmmmm, just relaxing thinking about it.

My favorite stolen moments have got to be when I've had a long hard day with my two little ones, then I sneak in their room and watch them sleeping like little angels.
Crystal Clayson
One of my favorite stolen moments is when we brought our daughter home from the hospital (both our children are adopted) and I was holding my son and helping him hold her. Everything was so peaceful and perfect.
Beautiful Picture! And that COLLIN...What a guy! How sweet of him to give you some time to yourself. Not only is he kind, but he is also:
intelligent,
charming,
handsome,
wonderful,
sincere,
ETC.ETC.ETC. :) Did I kiss up enough? LOL
But, seriously those moments are truly the moments that let us unwind and help us be a better us! Now, when I sneak into the bath, it is followed by my 6 yr. old who is learning how to read wanting to keep me company and read me a story while I take a bath LOL! I cherish it, just when I thought my moments couldn't get any better!
Oh yeah..we, me andmy 10 yrs old twin girls, made snowman today. It is fun but not when yo uhave to shovel that snow.
I love the necklace.Hope to win.
Awesome picture...my stolen moments come at bed time when my sweet children hug me and don't want to let go and they beg me to tell them a whispering secret so to tickle their ear and giggle under the covers...love to pause and take it all in....
I LOVE Ruche...and YOU were the one who told me about them first!! LOVE the necklace...but I also LOVED your date night outfit...in fact...I've been trying to duplicate it...to no avail...soooo cute!
One of the hardest parts of being a mom for me is having to wake up early and be instantly "on." I am not a morning person and if I had my choice I could lay in bed for hours just soaking up the quiet stillness. My "stolen moments" are those weekend mornings when my husband lets me sleep in and wake up slowly.
To be honest, I am stealing a moment to cleanout my office--- maybe more moments than I should! I better scoot outside with my kiddos!
I love a long hot relaxing bath.
A stolen moment would be one that I write in my journal.
One of my stolen moments is (since my hubby is deployed and I get little alone time) right after I put my kids to bed and I get a cup of hot cocoa and watch a BBC romance. It's a ridiculous habit, but I love it and it keeps me sane.
Just yesterday I purposely finished up all my housework earlye enough in the evening that I could climb into bed and enjoy reading "Gone With the Wind" before drifting off to sleep. Blissful!
I stole a moment at work today to hold a pet bunny - like a baby - and I totally loved it!
Thanks for the give-away!
Oh what a beautiful moment! Thanks for the reminder to stop and enjoy them! :) Super cool necklace too!
My stolen moment is walking through the garden at first light and before anyone else in the house is up, holding a cup of coffee and enjoying the beauty of nature and crisp cool air of the morning
Lately my stolen moments have been spent reading. I was always a book-lover, but somehow in the midst of home renovations, keeping up with a toddler and getting dinner on the table, sitting down with a good book has gotten overlooked. I'm really trying to get this back.
shelle.lenssen(at)live(dot)com
i think this picture is dreamy cool...its so white with the pop of color from your accessories...totally awesome! my stolen moment...for me life has become really hectic, and for me to actually stop and read my favorite blog (that would be your blog ;) is wonderful & a treat, because it inspires me on all kinds of levels. it seems like its hard for me to even do that as often as i would like. Donna Tullis
I don't get very many of those moments being the mom of a 5 month old. When I do get that moment, it is going to get coffee. I enjoy the few minutes I have "alone" sipping a warm latte (I live in Michigan so it is cold!!) and clearing my mind to recharge for what is to greet me when I come home.
I am pregnant with number 3 and my stolen moments are always times I can spend bonding with my unborn baby - like playing music to her/him or going to pregnant yoga or just having a nice chat! With 2 other toddlers I always feel guilty I am not able to spend as much time with this one as I did with the others
Beautiful photo!! Favorite stolen moment is def when Maggie is just still on my lap. Even for a moment. She's almost six months old so it's kind of rare these days ;)
I just recently discovered Ruche and love it! That is a beautiful necklace. Thanks for the opportunity. Becca :)
it's not the breath you breathe, but the moments that take your breath away...... I've been trying to live by that quote lately, it does wonders for your heart.
Thanks for introducing me to a lovely shop! Thanks for this chance to win a beautiful necklace!
we had a snowstorm too - and I took a moment to walk in the early morning quiet with my boys and take a few pictures =)
hillary
Jennifer Barnes~ Wow! What a picture! I love how my favorite color (the blue!) stands out with the white! I guess the most recent "spectacular stolen moment" was this morning watching my two girls play in the floor. Abby is 3 years and Emery is 7 months. I was cleaning the house, and at one point I went to check on the girls in the living room. Abby was laying next to Emmy "reading" a book, and the look on Emmy's face was priceless! She had her eyebrows scrunched, like she was trying to really understand what Abby was telling her. They had no idea I was watching them, which made it that much better. :)
My name is Mary Kathryn and those moments are some I savor daily. As my kids are getting older and there is no growing baby in my belly I am trying to savor each moment-- every tantrum, every crawling around like a dog. Life is too short to let those things slip by. Thanks for this opportunity.
spectatular stolen moment....would have to be the movie me and my husband got to steal away to earlier in the week, AND we got to meet up with my dad & stepmom. with all this BEAUTIFUL snow, my husband has been working long hours to plow it all(plus his regular job).
and i wish MORE MEN (hint hint, hubby!!) would read and take a few pointers from Mr. Kartchener. he rocks my socks off!! :)
Beautiful picture! I always steal a few moments early in the morning before the kids are up. I enjoy my coffee at the computer in my warm fluffy robe.
My stolen moment each day is when I put my 3 1/2 year old to bed. We read a different story every night, just the two of us.
my spectacular stolen moment will be this sunday when Bob takes care of both our girls while i go see Wicked with his mom. Our daughters are 4 and 3 weeks so it will be an adjustment for him and some very much needed time for me.
but i also have spectacular moments at 3 am when its just the baby and I. we sit in the rocker while she nurses and its a moment for just her and i - no sister, no daddy, no dogs trying to sniff us. her sleeping baby smiles put me in a state of awe - even at 3 am.
My stolen moment is watching my husband and two year old son play together when they have no idea I'm watching. The sound of their laughter can get me through the rest of a long day. Love your blog!
Bonsoir from France ! Well, one of my spectacular stolen moments is when I kiss my kids (I am a truly kissing momma... kissing all the time !!) and when I lie with my 2 boys on the bed and invent stories... It's like if time was not important to us anymore ... no rushing anymore, just taking some time to let our imagination fly. I wish sometimes I could record these moments.. some of their stories are just great and so innocent. Have a happy day ! xoxo
Dear Collin,
My, what a handsome man you are. You, who with three daughters and a wife, still managed to exude... umm... manliness and um, sexiness? This is harder to write to a sranger than I thought it would be! Love the necklace, love the blog, Congrats on Lola.
Brianne
Love 'moments'!
My stolen moment is walking through the park downtown with my bf and looking at him without realizing it and thinking how blessed i really am :)
Seriously....you are so adorable! I totally agree that those moments are what make my day! Lately my favorite little stolen moment is holding my new baby...just us in the rocking chair cuddling! I am also needing diet coke and a piece of chocolate to get me through my afternoons that seem to drag on lately! ahhh...stolen moments are great!
Thank goodness for stolen moments!
Thanks for the chance to win that beautiful necklace!
listening to my daughters sing at GEMS at church last night, how they both turned around to make sure I was there and that I was noticing them and paying attention. the little shy smile they gave as they sang. those are the moments I want to remember forever.
xoxo

Knitting while waiting in line for pick up! A definite stolen moment in my day,
My most recent stolen moment....between jobs, taking a week off. Before I headed out to pick up my 3 year old from school, I sat on my Florida porch, sipping my cup of tea. The warmth of the sun, the coolness of the breeze, the birds chirping. A stolen momement...
Man, that snowstorm was a surprise wasn't it!? Thanks for the chance to win an awesome prize!
Hi Collin! What an awesome family you are!!! I know you think that nobody can look as good as your wife wearing this necklace, and I believe that too, she is gourgeous, as are your three little princesses. But come on man, give a not so beautiful gal the opportunity to shine a little!!!
Just like you, I am all about a good bubble bath. And amy man that would keep a little one occupied so you can have that moment, is worth his weight in platinum!!
I am pregnant with twins right now and don't feel very comfortable but when they kick or move it's so amazing to me it makes it all worth it.
I love stolen moments with my husband because our four kids keep us busy much of the time. Last year, during the DC Metro area blizzard, our stolen moments were shoveling snow at 10 pm. We were the only ones out but we had time to talk and laugh together. It made shoveling 30 inches of snow over two days time fun.
I have "regular" stolen moments and that is when I can find the time to go for a run. It always clears my mind.
RAINBOWS… I don’t know what it is about rainbows that just lift my spirits and make me smile : ) I often stop on the side of the road and take a moment to just slow down and enjoy the beautiful colors. I tell myself that the rainbow is my special gift from God especially for me. The thing is… you never know when you are going to see one, so it’s a surprise, not something you can schedule in. I have never called it a “spectacular stolen moments” but I guess that’s exactly what it is.
BTW- Maybe that one guy @ the Puerto Rico Scrapbook Event last year follows your blog….
today is my 45 th bday! and i am oh so happy to be alive! My stolen moment was lunch with my best gf today! soo fun! love your snow pic! breathtaking! wish God would send us some snow this year down here in new orleans!
always enjoy being able to sneak away and watch a crime show ... weird I know!

For me, taking moments away from my crazy, jam packed life has prove to be vital to my own well being and makes me more enjoyable and productive for those around me. So to that end I try to take 15 to 30 minutes a night and create, write, pray. Taking those few moments to feed and nurture my own spirit helps me to keep my compassion and optimism and share it with the people I interact with daily. After all, a smile, at the very least, is still free right?
a stolen moment with my son today was the best thing ever....time to laugh, time be together - just he and I as he drove me to Michael's - enjoying those few moments that I am able to have him here with me before he graduates and is off to college and starts a new chapter in his life are forever stuck away safely in the deepest recesses of my heart.
my stolen and spectacular moment today was playing "memory" with my five year old.
oh my....that is a cutie! i want it i want it!
I just went back to work after 7 years of being home with my children. I miss them. My stolen moment is dropping by their school on my lunch hour and watching them play during recess. Gives me the motivation to finish my work day. I am glad to say that I didn't take those 7 years at home with them for granted, so glad.
I love the way you dress. The necklace is beautiful!
monopoly with my boys today after school till 6pm!....no homework...no dinner made...just us playing monopoly and eating cookies...(made them mac n cheese)
I love "stolen moments", I tried to title my blog that... :)
Just that little phrase makes me so happy-
my favorite stolen moment (I was actually able to capture it in picture w/o anyone knowing) was my father-in-law holding my 6 month old son, staring at a fish pond, with our dog by their side. I wish I could share with y'all b/c it brings such a joy!!!
Stolen moments...watching my kids while they sleep. I don't know what it is about them sleeping that just sends butterflies through my stomach. Perfect..innocent..It's just a precious moment :)
I wouls love to know where you found your colourful scarf, I just love it!!!
Mine happened just today. I was on a mission to clean, but had the sudden desire to sweep my baby into my arms (18 mo), sit with him in my lap and just hug him. He pulled back and smiled his sweet smile and started telling me something really important and confidential, smiled, kissed me, and then went on his way. I want to always remember that moment.
love your perspective. thanks for the chance to win
always love your wardrobe -- will have to check out Ruche.
a stolen moment doesn't seem to happen very often -- but, I guess, it's all in perspective. Sometimes it's just a glance from my husband....a "missed you today" kinda' glance; sometimes it's your son's hand-in-your's after a day at school (he's 10 -- doesn't happen very often any more). Lots of stolen moments around us -- we just have to look for them.
Thanks for the post today. I was catching snowflakes on my tongue today as well.

I steal moments to go to the little library at the bottom of our hill. On the way to nowhere, so it's very small, but I think of it as my secret, private library :)
Oprah yesterday had a happiness quiz. She said you should be taking at least a minute a day to yourself. In quiet. No computer. No tv. No phone. No Ipod. I snuck in my room for a minute and it was remarkably refreshing! Everyone should try it.
Then my baby girl and I had a dance party.
THE best.
I do have a wonderful hubs..... unfortunately he doesn't have time to look at MY favorite blogs. :D Darn...
One of my favorite stolen moments is when both my boys are at school and I come back into the house with complete quiet. Having two boys, a dog and a husband there is never a real quiet moment in my home. This moment of quiet is one of my favorites.
Wow you are so photo-genic...you always look stunning in photo's especially this one..what a amazing shot I love it <3!

I love how your Instax is dangling from your wrist in this picture.
Stolen moments...well, it's usually late at night once everyone is in bed. But, the very special and treasured moments come when I take time to make the people in my life feel important--like taking a walk with one of my kids or lying down next to them in bed at night, chatting with my hubbie when he gets home from work. Alone time like this almost always gets them talking and opening up.
Your picture was amazing!
and also your blog. =D
My stolen moment was at night time when my kids and hubby were sleeping Zzzz
I just love reading your blog....such a sweet family. I love a stolen moment of reading to my grandkids. Such a special time for me. The necklace is darling.
Thanks for a great giveaway,

My stolen moment- totally really stole it from 'dove' dark choc. I steal their 'dove moments' about once a week b/c I cut out sugar, but one piece once a week I am guilty.

my moment is having coffee and dessert with my hubby after we put the kiddo to bed...
My spectacular stolen moment occurred when I picked up the phone and called a long time friend I'd lost touch with. I always said I was too busy to but finally I did. It was something so simple, just a phone call, and now we are so close and tell each other everything. A wonderful friendship! I'm grateful I decided to go for the simple gesture of "just saying hi". That's all it took.
with 4 children with very busy lives, I don't get many stolen moments...but the other morning, while the older kids were sleeping in and my littlest guy who has Downs was occupied with a Disney program... my husband and I shared a glance, a smile and an awesome cup of just brewed coffee...it was SPECTACULAR! we nearly held hands... but the little guy broke the moment by bringing me a delightful finger full of boogies to care for! LOL! Thank you for the chance to share and a chance to win the SPECTACULAR necklace! :) Also looking forward to Colin's wonderful witty highjacking!
this is such an inspiring post! thank you for sharing it. i'm in my first year of pharmacy school, which is overwhelming to say the least... the other day when i quickly picked up lunch at a local deli, i noticed they had a few cupcakes for sale. so i added one to my order and promptly ate it when i got back into my car. it was delicious, and i'm so happy that i took a few moments to savor it and just relax for a bit. :]
I love a cup of hot coffee in the wee hours of the morning looking at my favorite sites before the day starts and the family wakes up!

This morning, when I went to wake my daughter, I got under the covers and woke her with cuddles. So glad I did. The first thing she said, "Mommy, I was missing you."
My stolen moment is when I take my oldest to school, and then instead of jumping into 'work', I snuggle on the couch with my 4 1/2 year old. I know these moments won't come very often in the fall when he goes to Kindergarten!
My favorite stolen moment lately is sneaking away (if only to the kitchen) w/ my coffee to savor your blog while my boys are watching Disney or playing for a few quiet moments. Reading your blog always reminds me to enjoy the everyday and inspires me to create. It inspires me to pick up my camera and find the beautiful moments that we share everyday.
Love the picture! Sometimss I steal little stolen moments by grabbing the ipod and jamming to a song while i am cooking or even to go to sleep at night. It completely turns off everything that is going on around me and I noone knows what crazy song I am listening to....unless I forget and sing along with it! ;-)
Stolen moment- the few minutes in my car before the kids come out to be picked up from school. When its warm and sunny- i try to arrive 5 minutes early just to sit and soak up the sun and enjoy the quiet!
Favorite recent stolen moment just happened! Sitting with my laptop on my knees, doing some work.... but my youngest daughter is sitting beside me.... Sharing a snuggle under a warm blanket and counting her little piggy-toes. Since she will turn 4 on Sunday (where did the time go?), moments like this with her are all too precious. Those tiny toes are growing all too quickly for my liking!
I would love a coat like yours! :)
My stolen moment is sneaking frozen homemade oreos from the freezer while the kids are busy. Makes the day seem wonderful.
Great giveaway!
We had a wet snow this week. though it caused power outtages and took down lots of trees, it covered eveything in white blinding sparkles. Just gorgeous. Love the necklace!

love the photo Liz!
This week we found out we are expecting our 4th{FOURTH!}boy!
I've been longing for a little girl, and I won't lie, this was a huge blow for me. I had a spectacular moment alone in our room, and I sobbed it out.
Our boy is healthy and scheduled to come in June and we are so excited to see what life will be like. It's gonna be crazy around here!
lovely lovely necklace! thank you for another giveaway. So jealous of that beautiful white stuff.
I'm an old grumpy poop who needs something to be extra spectacular, like fireworks or winning money, just to bring a half-grin to my face. Just kiddin. Just about everything makes me smile. :-)
Love the picture! We've been enjoying "snow globe" moments like this in Michigan as well! Sometimes I just stare out the window at the beauty!
Ok, this is goofy but my stolen moment is playing Angry Birds on my iPod when I get up in the middle of the night to feed my 7 week old little girl. It keeps me from falling asleep in her chair or from watching the clock because I'm so tired. I can't play it during the day because then the 2.5 year old wants it. :-)

My stolen moment is laying in bed with my baby (really not, he's 6) when he first wakes up in the morning. Since he is currently in afternoon kindergarten I don't have much time left to do this so I'm enjoying it while I can!
Wow, I'd love to win that necklace!

My stolen moment is when my 18 month old wakes me up at 3 am and we get to snuggle. It is the ONLY time he holds still long enough for me to hold him and love him and just soak him in. I wish kids came with a "pause" button ;)
That necklace is to die for! Thanks for the chance to win it!
Liz,
First of all, LOVE your blog and your line. The blogosphere definitly has it's way of making friends out of strangers. And strangly, they're friends you've never met, but feel as though you've been friends forever.
Second, stolen moments...I'm a second grade teacher and sometimes, amidst the absolute chaos that a second grade classroom is, I just like to sit back in my chair and watch them. I watch. I listen. I tuck away bits of pieces of their faces, their conversations, and their laughter into my heart; saving them for later when they're (the children!) have me at my wits end. I'm so blessed. And I'm so thankful for the constant reminder of just how blessed I am to be a teacher.
i love your photos, they are just so real, yet dreamy. thanks for bringing brightness to my day! i hope to win this giveaway because i need some serious help in the accessorizing dept.
Love the necklace...so cute. I love to watch just outside the door while my kids are playing, I can't let them see me because I love to spy on these little moments, of uninterrupted play and imagination.
I love ruche, just ordered "a few" things from them:))
the necklace is gorgeous!
Hi Lizzy,
My favorite stolen moment happened on December 15, 2010 when for the first time, after trying for 7 years, I saw two pink lines on the home pregnancy test. It was one of those moments where the world stopped and as the impact of the truth of the beautiful moment hit me, I cried and cried, rejoicing and thanking God that a sweet little miracle had taken place...that I would be a mommy, and that my husband would be a daddy. It brings tears to my eyes! That moment will be cherished in my heart forever.
my stolen moment would have to be when i take time to read and am covered up with a warm, extra soft blanket. as always, love your amazing blog, and the pictures you share with your blog readers. thanks!!!
What an absolutely beautiful picture of you, Liz! I love the bright colors on your scarf, totally beautiful picture.
My favorite stolen moment right now is the short commute I take at 6 a.m. a couple of mornings a week to pick up my friend's daughter so that she can work from home. For that short period of time I am in control of the radio dial or CD player and can crank up ANYTHING I want and sing at the top of my lungs and there is not one comment from the empty back seat :) It really starts my day of on a happy note.
What a fun giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!
One of my stolen moments was when I took a day off to stay home with my son. He really wasn't that sick but it had snowed outside...and I just wanted to spend some time with the little guy. We had a wonderful day off.
My husband isn't very romantic but he has his moments and I treasure them. Like this morning after he took our daughter to school while I stayed home with the preschooler - he sent me this email and told me he wanted me to listen to this song: Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are. He said it fits the way he feels about me just perfect. Needless to say I teared up for sure. He's been so wonderful to me these 11 years. I'm quite accident prone and my health has been a challenge (cancer 5 years ago) and he just loves me even more through it all.
awesome! spectacular stolen moment??? eating chocolate...
-jung
Does a sweet bite of delicious toffee from Kencraft Candy for breakfast count as a stolen moment? :)
As a working mom, the stolen moments are few and afar between. Scratch that, as a MOM, the stolen moments are few and far between. But I did sneak out of work on this fine Friday morning (under the guise of a meeting, of course) to take my two kiddies to our city's new aquatic center. Ninety minutes later, I am back at work with a ponytail and a happy heart.
First of all, thank you so much for your inspiration to live a positive and lovely life. Your outlook on life truly inspires me to look for the simple treasures and blessings around me. My youngest son has severe Autism, so its easy to get caught up in the stress and negativity. What is spectacular to me is my little guy's pure, unconditional joy. When I'm hustling to get my boys ready in the morning, my little man often sits and laughs- at nothing in particular, he is simply happy. I often stop what I am doing and join in on his pure bliss, and it makes my heart soar.
Wow, the buttons on that coat are spectacular! It's a beautiful picture, Judith xx
